Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with Antisynthetase Syndrome

Work placement: Institute of Rheumatology Prague Objectives: The aim of the thesis was to investigate the various physiotherapeutic techniques in improving the physical state of a 36-year-old, male patient with Interstitial lung disease related to Antisynthetase syndrome with the presence of AntiEJ, AntiRO52 and, AntiRO60 antibodies. Methods: PIR, DNS, soft tissue techniques, joint mobilization, physical exercises, IMT threshold, sensomotoric exercises. Results: Improvement in breathing capacity and breathing pattern, improvement in posture, improved mobility of soft tissues. Conclusion: This study was divided into 2 parts, the general part, which discusses the anatomy of the respiratory system and the nature of the disease, and the special part, which represents the course of the treatment and its effect on improving the general well-being of the patient. During this study, the application of physiotherapeutic methods has proved the possibility of improving the clinical symptoms for patients with Antisynthetase syndrome.
