Perception of parental allowance from the parents' in intact families perspective

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to describe how parental allowance is perceived in complete families. Due to the comparison of individual respondents, incomplete families, in which men or women who take care of a child independently, are not included in the sample. The parental allowance is one of the most important benefits provided by the state social support system, and its main task is to improve the financial situation of families with children. In addition to the parental allowance, this bachelor thesis also describes the system of social support, and other benefits whose purpose is to improve the financial situation of families in the Czech Republic. It also focuses on qualitative interviews with representatives of these families who receive parental allowance. Based on the analysis of these interviews, it describes how the interviewed families manage the parental allowance, how important the income is for them, and what opinions are associated with the parental allowance. The most important category which is connected with this allowance is certainty, which this regular allowance represents. Funding humanitarian non-profit organizations with a focus on People in Need

The main purpose of this thesis is to describe function of non-profit organizations, answer a question if these organizations are sufficiently financed and what is their place in society when there is no help from a state. In this text I will write about humanitarian non-governmental non- profit organizations and their unquestionable place in society. The goal of this text is to answer question on their fundraising, who supports them, how are the resources used and in general if the resources are spent efficiently. I will focus on non-profit organization People in need, its financing and relationship to the civil sector. The reason why I have chosen this topic is my interest in non-profit organization and humanitarian organizations in general - the criticism and skepticism towards these organizations was one of the reasons why I have decided to research about non-profit organizations. With regard to the length of work I will also briefly describe progression of People in need since its foundation and its fundraising by the Czech Republic.
The development of public policies in relation to single mothers from 1989 to 2015 in the Czech Republic

This paper is focused on the development of public policy in relation to single mothers from 1989 to 2015. Specifically, it focuses on the legislative documents, which are related directly to single mothers, which legislative documents are affecting them, how they deal with their situation and what benefits they bring to them. The paper also describes the evolution of these documents over time, specifically from 1989 to 2015. It concerns also the legislation which was accepted or cancelled and the whole background of these documents origin. The core of the empirical part is analysis of legislative documents affecting single mothers and their families and analysis of stenographic records of Parliament's meetings. The outlined development is explained in the context of theory of social constructions of target populations, depoliticization theory and path dependence theory. The aim of this paper is to find out how the situation of single mothers has developed since 1989 and whether it is improving or getting worse. The assumption is there has been a transformation since 1989, from socialist greater protection on the labor market and greater social support to extinction of single mothers as a specific target group of social policy.
The public administration reform: analysis of Smart Administration

This diploma thesis is mainly to explain the significance of the document Efektivní veřejná správa a přátelské služby: Strategie realizace Smart Administration 2007 - 2015 2015 (Efficient public administration and friendly service: Smart Administration Strategy 2007 - 2015) in the context of the reform process of public administration in the Czech republic. The author′s point of view is based of the theory of change, strategic managment and modern managment methods in public administration. Author focused on way of understanding the role and the context of the implementation of this document in public administration. Aim of this thesis is a decription and explanation of changes and their comparison with the primary Strategy′s goals. Another goals of this thesis is to understand the context of the implementation of the Strategy Smart Administration with regard to the major actors and events that could affect implementation. These methods are supplemented by findings that were obtained through interviews with experts in public administration area. The results of these analyses show that the goals of Strategy Smart Administration have not been fulfilled and this document presented an umbrella body for SMART methods in public administration. Batterer intervention programs as a way of increasing an effectiveness of prevention of domestic violence on women in the Czech Republic

Diploma thesis Batterer intervention programs as a way of increasing an effectiveness of prevention of domestic violence on women in the Czech Republic deals with the issue of domestic violence against women and its impact on the Czech state budget. On example of the impact of domestic violence on children as witnesses of this violence, I try to explain that through strengthening a prevention of domestic violence (public awareness, programs for children and therapeutic work with perpetrators) the economic impact could be reduce. The main aim of this study is to define all economic losses associated with domestic violence against women, describe how is domestic violence solved by government and whether this solution reflects the high risk of transmitting of violent patterns from parent to child. Aims of the study focuses on the economic losses associated with domestic violence against women dealing with domestic violence by the state and abroad reflection of good practice. Domestic violence is a serious social problem that we encounter in most cultures. It could happen in all socio-economic strata, regardless of age or race.
