In the theoretical part following topics are discused: Nursing and nursing care, Ventilation issues, non-invasive ventilation, Nursing care for the patient on non-invasive ventilation, the quality of nursing care and its standardization and the process of creating a standard of nursing care. The research part had two main objectives. First, to compare differences in nurses views and experiences in both surgical and medical ICU where non-invasive ventilation used. A multisource feedback was carried out in ten surgical and fourteen medical ICU nurses. Statistically signifikant differences are discussed at the end of this section.
