Experimental analysis of automobile ventilating outlet air flow using hot wire anemometry and draft of outlet quality rating
Ležovič, Tomáš ; Šedivý, Petr (referee) ; Lízal, František (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with air flow in the interior of automobile Škoda Octavia. The attention is focused only at a side ventilating outlet. Author’s effort was to propose the appropriate criteria for evaluation and assessment of ventilating outlet quality and elaborate the methodology of measurement for these criteria. Then follows the application of the methodology and measurement of velocity field of air flow from the outlet by the method of hot wire anemometry. The thesis also contains comparison of the results with the results attained by the smoke visualization.
Experimental analysis of air stream from a car blower using smoke method and design of the blower quality assessment
Krška, Lukáš ; Šedivý, Petr (referee) ; Jedelský, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this work was the analysis of air current from the right outlet, using the smoke method and the subsequent determination of a method for application. A further task was to establish a method for determining the upper and lower vertical routing, yaw angle (ß) and angle of inclination (?) of the air current. The experiment aims to approximate conditions as close to those experienced in the actual vehicle. After assembling a track with a soot blower (outlet) in the laboratory and defining the coordinates of the vehicle, the air current was subjected to visualization within the range of five positions of the vanes. Visualization was achieved by the use of technology for the smoke method. We used a light plane with a customized system of coordinates, a smoke generator for visualizing the air current being emitted and a camera for recording images. During our research we established the upper and lower cut off at the specific closures of the horizontal vanes of the soot blower. We determined a common analogy between the experimental track used in the experiment and the circumstances in the actual vehicle. We acquired the yaw angles (ß) and the angles of inclination (?) in the light plane and, after conversion, in the system of coordinates of the vehicle for all five settings of the vanes. The assessment of the given soot blower was undertaken according to the values achieved.
MR imaging and MR spectroscopy of human during physical stress (MR spectroscopy imaging, MR diffusometry, MR relaxometry etc.)
Šedivý, Petr ; Hájek, Milan (advisor) ; Haberlová, Jana (referee) ; Vymazal, Josef (referee)
The dissertation is concerned to in vivo phosphorus MR spectroscopy (31 P MRS) and 1 H MR imaging (MRI) of muscle in combination with physical workload. The theoretical part of the thesis describes methodology of 31 P MRS measurement and its clinical use in research of metabolic changes in diabetes, heart failure and peripheral artery disease (PAD). The results of the thesis are divided into methodical and clinical parts. Methodical results deal with the construction of experimental equipment, software modification and development, and show of the reproducibility of the dynamic 31 P MRS. The MRI after exercise was used to the describe involvement of the individual calf muscles to muscle contraction during pedal movement in MR compatible ergometer. The first part of the clinical results of the thesis describes changes in muscle metabolism during diabetes and critical ischemia. In patients with critical ischemia the effect of treatment by angioplasty or transplantation of mesenchymal stem cells was evaluated. In the second part of the clinical results the metabolism of patients with heart failure complicated by sideropenia was studied. In these patients the effect of experimental treatment by iron carboxymaltose was described.
Diagnostics of plazma in the deposition sources using the Langmuir probes
Šedivý, Petr ; Kousal, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kylián, Ondřej (referee)
This experimental work is concerned with measurement of elementary characteristics of plasma - potential of plasma, electron temperature and density of particles. As research methods were selected the Langmuir probes - especially the single probe. At the beginning of the thesis there are explained shortly the elementary characteristics of plasma and the procedure of determination particular parameters of the plasma from the volt-ampere characteristics of the probe. The third chapter is focused on description of the experiment, the probe, the apparatus and its control. Plasma measured within this work originated from the new hollow magnetron which will serve as future source of nanoparticles. Results of the work are focused on the description of individual parameters of the plasma in dependence on other variables such as the magnetron power, pressure of gas, spatial dependence or presence of additional auxiliary magnetic field.
MR spectroscopy in patients with diabetes mellitus
Šedivý, Petr ; Štěpánková, Helena (advisor) ; Roztočil, Karel (referee)
This thesis deals with in vivo MR spectroscopy. Measurements in this thesis were performed on whole-body MR tomograph at the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague. The objective of the thesis was to study differences in the biochemical processes and energy metabolism in the muscle tissue under physical workload between the groups of healthy subjects and patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM1). We used phosphorous spectroscopy in combination with ergometer. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter describes theoretical introduction to in vivo 1 H and 31 P MR spectroscopy and muscle metabolism, the second chapter deals with the description of the experimental equipment and measurement, results of the thesis are reported in the third chapter and the fourth chapter is a discussion of results. Main result of this work is summarized in conclusion; we found differences between the metabolism of patients with DM1 and healthy volunteers.

Internal communication and its use in opening the dialog between the employees and the company
Šedivý, Petr ; Poucha, Tomáš (advisor) ; Koudelková, Petra (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the internal communication and its use for opening a dialogue between a company and its employees. The practical part of the thesis contains a case study of the company DAUCZECH s.r.o.in the period 2016-2018. Firstly, the author seeks to answer questions of whether it is worth to invest time and resources in internal communication concerning small and medium-sized enterprises. Secondly, he asks whether well-established communication channels can solve intra-company communication problems. The thesis consists of two parts. The first section is devoted to the theory of internal communication, the term "urge to change", and the issue of establishing a dialogue; the last subchapter deals with the definition of internal communication information channels. In the second section, the author applies the theoretical findings to the real company environment. Throughout this part, several kinds of research take place. The thesis presents the latest research findings in the field of internal communication. Thus it proves that the internal communication of the instrument that can, when properly used, can improve processes inside a company. Part of the thesis is also a proposition of a strategy for improvement of company communication for DAUCZECH s.r.o.
