Education of first-time mothers about breastfeeding

v angličtině The bachelor's thesis is devoted to the issue of breastfeeding. Specifically, it focuses on the education of first-time mothers about breastfeeding, which plays an irreplaceable role in the subsequent course of breastfeeding and the quality of nutrition of the breastfed child. The work is conceived as theoretical - practical. The aim of the theoretical part is to introduce the issue of breastfeeding. It introduces the anatomy of the female breast, the physiology of lactation and the composition of breast milk. It also describes the importance and benefits of breastfeeding, the correct breastfeeding technique and mentions common complications associated with breastfeeding and their solutions. Last but not least, it describes the role of the midwife in caring for a breastfeeding woman, the importance and forms of educating women about breastfeeding and points to the breastfeeding support system in the world. In the practical part, the aim is to map the interest of first-time mothers in lactation counseling services and to find out their satisfaction with the services provided. The effect of epidural analgesia depending on the time of administration and female parity

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of epidural analgesia as one of the most effective methods of labour pain control. The main aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate whether epidural analgesia is administered more frequently in primiparas or multiparas, and what is the frequency of epidural analgesia administration depending on the time of day at the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague. The thesis contains theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to the definition of physiological labour, description of labour times, labour pain and epidural analgesia, which includes anatomy of the spinal canal, indications, contraindications, drugs and technique of application. The practical part is the research part. It was carried out using analytical data collection from medical records and Medea hospital information system. The retrospective analysis was performed at the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University and the General University Hospital in Prague. Musical aids in musical development of pre-school childern

My thesis focuses on role of musical tools in pre-school education. It explores their history as well as historical significance but also current situation on the market and their use in practice. My goal is to define the very notion of musical tool and set general categorization in relation with musical capabilities it helps to develop. My work also maps the availability of musical tool in selected pre-schools and their use in these environments. The next task is to research how the tools designed by children themselves are helping develop their own musicality, especially those tools trying to visualize basic musical elements, while guiding them towards creativity. This was achieved by observation of two groups of fifteen children from age 4 to 6. KEYWORDS musical tools, musical creativity, musicality, pre-school education, pre-school children.
Epidural analgesia and frequency of extraction methods during labor

This thesis is focused on epidural analgesia and the frequency of extraction methods during labor. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a research part. The theoretical part describes the issue of labor pain, epidural analgesia, forms of pain relief, indications and contraindications, methods of implementation and possible complications and the role of midwife during labor with epidural analgesia. It also deals with the issue of extraction methods, its indications and contraindications, conditions for implementation, possible complications of general, and role of midwife during labor with extraction methods. Prospective study for the thesis was performed using data from medical records, the Medea hospital information system and birth records. The data research was carried out at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the First Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University and the General Faculty Hospital in Prague in the periods from 1st January 2020 to 31st December 2020. The main aim of the research part was to determine whether the epidural analgesia affects the frequency of extraction terminations of labor.
