Částková, Barbora ; Potluka, Oto (advisor) ; Fanta, Petr (referee)
This bachelor thesis is called " Application of project cycle management in a local government". It has focused on three specific towns -- Pardubice, Hradec Králové and Liberec. It has examined, whether they apply the project cycle as part of their policy of using grants from the European Union. The thesis has compared the successfulness of individual towns from different points of view -- how many projects the towns have realized with partnership of the European Union from 2004 to present time, how much money the towns had to invest in these projects, if there is some connection between an amount of budget and a number of projects and so on. It has tried to describe, which way the towns apply for grants, and emphasize the pros and the cons of the concrete system. In all municipalities, the number of staff dealing with European Union increased. All towns apply the similar system, they do not differ significantly from the theory of project cycle. Liberec has implemented the biggest amount of projects, it has also invested the biggest amount of money in the projects.
