Transboundary eel (Anguilla anguilla) management plans

In the bachelor thesis are collected and compared data obtained from available materials that deal with the issue of declining state of European eel (Anguilla anguilla) in European waters. Population decline was recorded already in the 80s of last century and throughout the range, which includes most inland and coastal waters of Europe and North Africa. The first chapter describes the species of Anguilla anguilla, developmental stages and migration cycle, who during his life this species pass. In the following part of the work is information on the Council Regulation (EC) No. 1100/2007 of 18 September 2007 establishing measures for the recovery of the stock of European eel. This regulation requires the individual Member States of the European Union to draw up plans Management of European eel on their territory if the area falls between habitats eel. The next section discusses the management plans for the Czech Republic, England and Wales, the Netherlands, Denmark and Spain. The management plans are then selected individual chapters devoted to the definition of the basin, which measures for the recovery of the eel population concerning the procedure for determining the target escapement levels of 40 % of adults with eel in marine waters and further concrete measures implemented by means of the watercourses which should be the target level achieved. The final part is devoted to the discussion, which are summarized and compared the measures used by Member States in the individual management plans. Furthermore, this part contains data on the eel population after the introduction of primary measures for its renewal.

At the same time his work also mention the European System of Central Banks and the Eurosystem, as an integral part of the management issues and implementing the policy of the European Union.

The main theme of this diploma are GDB during the crisis, higher unemployment, a slowdown in foreign trade, car industry or problems in the agricultural sector in Czech Republic and in the world also. The diploma expressed which country had the biggest problems with crisis and the other way around. In diploma are also described the anti-crisis measuresy which had prevented more bankrupt in affected countries.

Budget of the European Union in the field of justice and home affairs

The Master Degree Thesis focuses on analysis of the EU budget. The main area of interest is justice and home affairs. Planning of the EU annual budget is preceded by creation of the Multiannual Financial Framework which is a planning tool and also a safeguard of predictability of the EU expenditures. Also EU priorities are mirrored there. Annual budget itself is divided into six headings. The thesis is dedicated mainly to the third area Security and Citizenship. Also an EU agency CEPOL (European Police College) is financed from this area. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to CEPOL. The EU agency CEPOL occupies important position in the field of education and training of senior police officers and also law enforcement officers. It provides educational and training activities which suppose to contribute to improving of EU Member States´ cooperation in fighting against the most serious forms of international crime. The flagship of CEPOL is European Police Exchange Programme. Thanks to the exchange programme, the participants gain experience based on their needs and preferences. CEPOL supports qualitative rather than quantitative education. The third part of the theses tries to find out whether the financial resources spend on the Exchange Programme are used effectively. This issue is examined by using a questionnaire and subsequently its evaluation.

Analysis of Euro Currency in Slovakia

This bachelor thesis mainly deals with the analysis of the Slovak economy since the introduction of the Euro on January 1, 2009 until the January 2015. Thesis further deals with the brief history of the European monetary integration, integration of the Euro in Slovakia and how the development of the Slovak economy was since its independence in 1993 until the introduction of the Euro. It presents how Slovakia was dealing with the meeting of Maastricht criteria and the preparation of citizens of Slovakia for a new currency. In thesis is also stated the impact of the economic crisis on Slovak economy and the impact of the crisis on public finances of the whole Eurozone. It explains European rescue funds the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) and the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) and how Slovakia dealt with the introduction of these funds. The analysis itself deals with the development of the Slovak economy, especially the development of the foreign trade and the GDP. The analytical part of the thesis compares the current situation in Slovakia concerning the inflation, growth of minimum wages, labor productivity per hour, growth of the GDP, total public debt and unemployment with the situation in other countries of the Eurozone. In the last chapter are stated opinions of experts about the present and the future situation of the Euro.

Abundance of house sparrow (Passer domesticus) and other synantropic species in small settlements around Prague

In the surroundings of Prague, as well as in many other parts of Europe the population numbers of synanthropic species were reduced in recent years. These changes in abundance are attributed to the change of use of agricultural landscapes, the loss of small poultry farms and mainly a change in the character of the construction. The aim of this thesis was to ascertain the abundance of selected species of synanthropic birds and compared their numbers with the data obtained in 2012. In this study were also evaluated differences in the abundance of these species in the localities of old construction area and new construction area. There were selected 3 main leaders, house sparrow (Passer domesticus), tree sparrow (Passer montanus) and eurasian collared dove (Streptopelia decaocto) from all monitored species for the statistical processing of the results. Census was carried out in a total of 40 squares, 20 of which was located in an old construction area and 20 in the construction of the new. All of the site lies in an area with a high degree of suburbanization in the central region an in around of Prague. The study area covered an area of 200 x 200 meters and were visited a total of twice during the nesting period in the spring of 2015. The results show the preferences of the old buildings for the house sparrow and the eurasian collared dove. Tree sparrow was more numerous in the localities, characterizing the new housing development. For eurasion collared dove was observed increasing trend in abundance, while in both species of sparrows was recorded its decline. The most numerous species was the house sparrow with a total of 209 individuals, on the contrary, at least individuals, 23, was noted for european serin (Serinus serinus).

Evaluation of the European Cohesion Policy in Selected Region

The thesis titled Evaluation of the European Cohesion Policy in Selected Region deals with the structural period of 2007-2013 in the Pilsen and South regions. The aim of the present thesis is to carry out an ex-post evaluation of the Regional Operational Programme NUTS II Southwest and, based on these findings, to assess what impact the cohesion policy had on this region. The theoretical part deals with the historical context of the European Union and the beginnings of regional policy. It then defines the basic principles, objectives, and fundamentals of the cohesion policy in the years 2007-2013. The practical part contains situational analysis of the Southwest region and analysis of Implementation Document ROP NUTS II Southwest, in connection with which I will describe the priority axes and areas of programme support. Next part is the ex-post evaluation of ROP NUTS II Southwest, which will be carried out through four indicators defined by me. In the conclusion, I will evaluate the impact of cohesion policy in the Southwest region and its influence.

Analysis of the Greece Economy in Comparison with the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis assesses the economic situation of Greece and its comparison with economic of the Czech Republic. Thesis analyses the development of macroeconomic indicators in Greece and Czech Republic and for better understanding, in selected countries of the European Union. In the theoretical part, thesis describes the individual indicators and provides information about how are the indicators measured. The analytical part deals with the Greece economy in comparison with economy of Czech Republic. The assessed period is from the year 2003 to 2015. For the comparative part of this diploma thesis, macroeconomic indicators such as GDP, inflation, unemployment, balance of trade, were used. For better view, comparison of both countries in particular indicator is followed by description of the situation for selected countries of European Union. In the final part of the thesis, a conclusion is assessed using results from individual subchapters. Thesis concludes similarities and differences between compared countries based on development of selected indicators and country ratings.

Renovation of waste water system in selected municipality

It is necessary to consider the increasing problem of the environment and better quality of people living. This thesis focuses on modernization of the system, which cleans the wastewater in municipality of Kout na Šumavě. These days it is taking place the second phase of building a sewerage system, that would be partly financed from European Union funds within the operation program of Environment. The thesis is split into two main parts. The first theoretical part contents the basic theory, where are described the financial funds, the basic theory of the wastewater treatment and also the problematic of multi-criteria decision making and it´s methods. Mentioned methods relate to solving the problems of decision-making situations. The second practical part performs particulary solution of the given problem. In the practical part are used all identified findings and background materials for evaluation and for selection the right decision making situation. This would be solved by application of mathematical methods. All identified results, that used mathematical methods, are evaluated and suggested to the representatives of the municipality. They referred the results to the general contractor.

E-government and open data in state administration

This diploma thesis focuses on the problematics of eGovernment and open data. Thesis assesses the situation in the Czech Republic as well as in countries of European Union. The opendata and eGovernment history, its developments, current state and outlook for future are described. The thesis aims to analyze the characteristics of opendata and compares eGovernment in the Czech Republic with other countries of European Union according to Open Data index. In the last section of this work, selection of the proper data for publication in the open format data is discussed. Its implementation and validation is demonstrated with the example of selected instution in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part of this thesis problematics of eGovernment in the Czech Republic is discussed. The analytical part assesses the open data publication by the Czech ministry of social security administration. Analysis is conducted using bottom up and top down methods. The benefits of this diploma thesis is the overview of the eGovernment and open data format publications in the Czech Republic and its comparison with other European countries and creation of the methodical framework for choosing the correct data for open data format publication.
