First aid in nursery school

Title: First aid in preschool Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis was to find out the level of first aid knowledge of kindergarten teachers. Furthermore, it was compared how much their knowledge would improve if they passed the first aid course. Methods: The method used in the thesis was an anonymous inquiry. The survey was consisted of two parts, the survey section, which had 12 questions and the test part, which had 20 questions. The research sample was consisted of 23 respondents at an average age of 37 years. The survey was conducted in cooperation with kindergarten in Vodňany. The obtained data was displayed in graphs. Results: Based on the survey, it was found that teachers in preschool have experience with first aid in kindergarten. They encounter most often the minor abrasions, head injuries and abdominal pain. They made the least mistakes in answering questions about accidental and life-threatening conditions. After completing the course and first aid training, their mistakes in responses were reduced by an average of 2 errors per teacher.
