Volunteer Centers in the Czech republic - Methodology of Establishment of the Volunteer Center

This paper focuses on volunteer management and volunteer centers in the Czech Republic and worldwide. It consists of two distinct parts. The first part is devoted to common principles of volunteering and its historical background in the Czech Republic, the United States and EU. Emphasis is also given to programs and purpose of volunteer centers. The aim of the second part is to collect information relating to beginnings of volunteer centers in the Czech Republic by means of qualitative research methods. Another purpose of the research is to provide basic commendations for those who would like to establish a volunteer center in a community.
