Reconstruction of a Baroque Open Beam Ceiling Based on Material Analysis
Kloiber, Michal ; Válek, Jan ; Bláha, Jiří ; Čechová, J.
Reconstruction of a ceiling in the north-eastern wing of a former water fortress in Jeseník was carried out during the repair of its roof structure and replacement of the roof. The most damaged parts of the bearing ceiling beams were removed and partially replaced with new timber in the 70s of the 20th C. The way the work was carried out corresponded to the methods and approaches of the cultural heritage protection of that time. The replacement of damaged heads of ceiling beams with new timber that was fitted without connection to the original ceiling beams and only simply hanged on a metal girder can be considered highly provisional from the current perspective. That is why the repair of timber structures of the water fortress included also a reconstruction of the original ceiling system.

Cystic fibrosis and pitfalls of life of patients with this diagnosis.
JENÍKOVÁ, Aneta
Cystic fibrosis is a disease that affects the digestive and respiratory systems. It is an autosomal recessive genetic disorder. The hallmark of cystic fibrosis is a thick mucus in the lungs, which must get out of the lungs. People with this diagnosis have no favorable prospects for quality life. The individual and his family have a lot to adapt to with this insidious disease. This disease is not curable, but thanks to the progress of science it is treatable. The treatment includes a proper acceptance of medications, pancreatic enzymes, antibiotics, vitamins, respect proper diet, intense inhalations, rehabilitation, periodic check-ups at the doctor, etc. The individual afflicted with the disease can live to adulthood, which was not possible before. Since its very childhood the child has to be led to a proper attitude to treatment and be aware of what can worsen his illness. Over the time, when the child becomes an adult it takes those life habits to its partnership where there should exist a support from the partner. Afterwards, they should both consider whether to have a family and everything that goes with it. Most men with cystic fibrosis have a blocked transport of sperm with thick mucus so sperm cannot pass through the egg and fertilize it. Only a small percentage of men can have a baby the natural way. Most men are recommended during puberty sperm collection and storage in the vault sperm. The name of the thesis is Mucoviscidosis and Pitfalls of Life of Patients with this Diagnosis and is processed purely on a theoretical basis. The main source for the work is the primary sources, i.e. professional publications of Czech and foreign authors. The aim of this work is to obtain comprehensive information about the disease, including the difficulties of life of patients with this diagnosis. The second part outlined the problems which cystic fibrosis has on an individual's life, from childhood to adulthood. The third part mentions the social issues. Financial assistance is emphasised, as the treatment of this disease is expensive. The partial goal was to focus on the latest advances in the diagnosis of cystic fibrosis, which is a new method of sweat test. It is important to receive digestives enzymes before each meal along with inhalations. The information about the disease was obtained mostly from specialized publications, articles from professional journals, as well as the official website of organization of the affected individual. The main goal of bachelor thesis was to get a comprehensive information about the disease including the difficulties of life of patients with this diagnosis. As a help to achieve the main objective significantly contribute sub-goals. Partial aim is to introduce the disease itself from its beginnings to its development, especially in terms of diagnosis. Another objective in writing this work was to explore the issue of this disease and provide informatik to the public and the family with a sick child. In terms of methodology, methods of explanation, synthesis and induction are used in the work. These methods are based on collection and combination of primary information and are aimed at the logical reconstruction of explanation and understanding of the topic.

Possibilities of patients with breast cancer in relation to reconstructive plastic surgery
GALUŠKOVÁ, Soňa
Possibilities of Breast Cancer Patients in Connection with Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Oncological disease is one of the diseases basically no one is able to influence. It is not a disease anyone would want. It starts slowly, stealthily and is often overlooked. Yet, oncological disease always changes our whole past life, within family, workplace, and our leisure activities, both in physical and psychological terms. Any patient deals with this disease differently, also the approach to these patients has to be highly individualized. Every patient goes through all the phases of the disease at a different pace and with varying success and every patient copes with it in a different way and is then able to return to his or her old life. Oncological disease is one of the most serious diseases and I dare say that breast cancer is for women very traumatic, changing their position in all roles; intensity is usually placed on a woman?s psyche. Every woman needs an individual approach from a physician, non-physician and especially from her family. The disease does not affect only the patient, but also the whole family and her environment. This diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of breast cancer patients in connection with plastic reconstructive surgery. Four objectives were set... The first objective was to determine the level of patient awareness of the possibilities of reconstructing the missing breast. The research showed that patients lack information and the majority of respondents received complete information from a mammologist, or a surgeon when dealing with the primary breast cancer diagnosis. The second objective was to find out whether patients are interested in co-decisions on the method of breast reconstruction. Based on the research, we concluded that yes, they are interested in deciding on the method, but it is important for them to have enough information and to know the doctor?s opinion. The third objective was to see whether patients have the opportunity to co-decide on the method of breast reconstruction. The results showed that patients have the possibility to decide on the choice of method, but in dependence on the possibilities, which are for each patient individual. It is not possible to use and select from all methods for each patient, it is necessary to approach each respondent individually and with complete knowledge of the course of her disease. The fourth objective was to define the most frequent patients? questions in connection with breast reconstruction. The results of interviews showed that the most frequently asked questions related to the length and number of hospitalizations and return to the social, professional and personal life. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts?theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part describes the historical development of reconstructing the missing breast, primary cancer disease and its classification. A greater part includes the possibilities of reconstructing the missing breast and specific nursing care for these patients. To process the empirical part of this thesis, qualitative research was chosen. The method of questioning, using semi-structured interviews with open questions, was selected. The research sample consisted of 11 patients at the Department of Plastic Surgery, University Hospital in Pilsen and 1 client of Mama Help Center in Pilsen. Three research questions were formulated. 1. What are the obstacles to the lack of information about breast reconstruction? The research shows that the patients outside the big specialized mammological centers have less access to specialized information and the research shows generally apparent absence of written information for patients on this topic.

Návrh obnovy lovecké chaty Jelenka
Inderková, Lenka
The work was focused on the current state of the object with high humidity from the ground in presence of fungi. The aim was to consider possible ways to restoration of it and to elaborate the final version of the restoration proposal. The semi-destructive methods in the construction survey were used. A humidity of endangered construction elements was measured, the degree of infestation and its intensity were determined. Results were entered into drawings supplemented by tables. Probable cause of damage and possible ways to eliminate it were in results also recorded. Such a combination of options to ensure the long-term solution to the problem with regard to maintaining the authentic appearance of the building by creating benchmarks and comparison of the results was chosen. This combination includes a drainage system, an insulation of lower structure against moisture and creating a vertical drainage, ensuring the floor and the interior ventilation with the help of horizontal openings in the foundation wall, roof structure repair, replacement of the roofing and ensuring stiffness of the truss. The results of this work provides the necessary documents to the contracting authority to take the necessary steps in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of timber structures, respectively, to award a professional company. It can also be applied to objects of a similar nature that are also threatened by high incidence of moisture from the lower building.
