The task of nurses in the care of patients with abnormal heart rhythm in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic
HOFFMANOVÁ, Lívia
In the theoretical part of the thesis, we described the conducting system of the heart, cardiac automaticity, physiological impulse formation and its conduction in the myocardium and mechanisms of arrhythmias. Furthermore, we focused on the classification of arrhythmias and their description in different types of arrhythmias, possibilities of treatment and the role of nurses in the care of patients with heart rhythm disorders. For the thesis, we chose a qualitative research conducted by the form of interviews with nurses. The research took place in three hospitals in the Czech Republic and three in the Slovak Republic. Before realization of the qualitative research, we contacted the management of every hospital in order to obtain a permission to carry on with our research. In each of these hospitals, we spoke to five nurses and then subsequently interviewed them. In overall, we interviewed 30 nurses, 15 of them work in the Czech Republic and 15 hospitals in the Slovak Republic. Research was conducted at the Cardiology departments of these hospitals. The criterion of selection was work of nurses with their patients with heart rhythm disorders. Interviews were recorded and then rewritten. The results were categorized into schemes and then finally compared. The first aim we set was to find out the specific knowledge of nurses care about patients with abnormal heart rhythm in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. Most of them knew what is important for patients and what especially do they need to focus on, what to watch over and in what they need to draw patient?s attention. Nurses often spoke in general and especially in the case of education of the patient in this field. Despite nurses? work with patients with abnormal heart rhythm and their knowledge about arrhythmias, their treatment and their roles, we have decided to develop a handbook for them. This manual can expand knowledge of nurse working with these patients, but its main purpose is to serve nurses who have little knowledge in this field. Therefore, nurses are about to begin to work with patients with abnormal heart rhythm and would like to learn the basic information about arrhythmias, their treatment and the fraction of nurses? to care of these patients. The second aim we set to ourselves was to find out the workflow of the nurses working with patients with abnormal heart rhythm in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. There were differences between the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. When asking Czech nurses what workflow do they use, the most common responses were invasive and non-invasive treatment methods. In the Slovak Republic, nurses talked about providing their patients with proper care and workflow according to developed standards. The ultimate aim was to compare the results of nursing care of patients with abnormal heart rhythm in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. All in all we came to the conclusion that nursing care in both countries are in a good condition and complication rate is very low. None of interviewed nurses stated frequent occurrences of complications at her workplace.

Physiotherapy in patients with Femoral neck fractures
PRINCOVÁ, Pavlína
This bachelor thesis focuses on physiotherapy for patients with fracture of the femur bone in the neck of the femur. The femur is the strongest and longest bone in the human body, securing the stability of the latter. A femoral neck fracture is a fracture in the narrowest place of the bone, where the long femur bone goes over to the head of femur, connecting the femur bone with the acetabulum. Considering the influence of high energetic effects on the bone, the most often during sports or accidents, fractures might occur with younger individuals. However, the fractures are more frequent with older individuals: especially women are more prone to these, in context with influence of postmenopausal osteoporosis. In the Czech Republic, according to statistics, approximately 10.000 individuals per year suffer from this injury, with a clear predominance of women. For 20% of all Czech women aged 60-65 years, there is a strong probability of falling at least once a year. With women aged 80-84 years, this probability increases to one third (Trča, Kudrna, Hořejší, 2008). The theoretical part of this work describes the anatomy of the femur and the pelvic bone building up a hip joint. Further on, biomechanics of the hip joint, including etiology, classification and diagnosis of the femur together with the possibility of operative or conservative medical treatment, are considered. The practical part is based on qualitative research, using observation and interviews. Out of observation methods, the following were chosen: aspection, palpation, goniometrical and anthropometrical examination, examination of walking, muscle shortening and muscle strength that are observed at the beginning, during and at the end of the therapy. Patients of Traumatologic Department of the Hospital of Ceske Budejovice a.s. were chosen for this research. Two groups of patients are being observed: The first group consists of a man treated in conservative way and a woman with 1.5 year old femur fracture, originally treated by osteosythesis, indicated for total endoprosthesis out of a reason of a necrosis. These both patients were being observed for 6 weeks. The second group - a woman treated by osteosynthesis ? proximal femoral nail and a man with total endoprosthesis - were being observed for 8 days of therapy treatment in an early stage after the surgical intervention. Prior to starting the therapy, all patients were informed about the methods and targets of the therapy. The aim of the work is to map physiotherapeutic methods used for treatment of patients after femoral neck fracture, including a short term and a long term plan. The short term plan is especially focused on retreat of swelling and pain, restoring the muscular strength and movement and on training of walking with two crutches. The long term plan goal is approaching the same quality of life preceding the injury, especially by securing a better stability as prevention of falling down. All studied patients show a relatively quick improvement of the swelling and of the pain, especially these patients treated operatively. Verticalization of the patient is another important element, which is allowed by the classical treatment not earlier than after six weeks being confined to bed. Compared with this method, the operative method is more advantageous, allowing an earlier descend of the bed, helping avoiding such complications as thromboembolic disease, pneumonia or forming decubitus. The main objective of this bachelor thesis is not to evaluate a better and more efficient treatment method for the corresponding case - the sample of patients being not representative enough for such a purpose, but to remind and sum up the different used methods and means of physiotherapy.

The past and the present of purification of chimneys and flues
HÁLA, Pavel
This work endeavours to map the development and actual level of chimney and flue cleaning in the Czech Republic including the appraisal of statutory instruments during the period from 1751 to 2015. The aim is to compare the techniques and methods of chimney cleaning used in the past as well as in the present and their effect on health and enviromental protection and safety. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical one introduces historical changes of rules defining cleaning of chimneys and combustion tracks in Czech lands in the past. The present technologies are being described as well as conditions of fire safety for functioning of chimneys and flues. This part is also following up checking and revisions of combustion tracks, measuring efficiency of combustion, burning of chimneys, frequency of checking and cleaning of chimneys etc. The following sections pay attention to documents dealing with classification of types of chimneys, technical and safety standards for safe working of combustion tracks and the impact of techniques of cleaning on health and enviromental protection and safety. In the second part of this work the results extracted from the questionnaire survey are presented. The results are devided into three chapters according to the three main areas the survey was focused on. The first chapter compares statutory instruments, prevention, checking and methods of chimney clearing and their effect on health, safety and environment. The second chapter pays attention to the same topics but in present days. In the last chapter the research is based on statistic numbers of fires in the particular periods. For the research the methods of analysis and appraisal of technical books, legal standards and information from internet sources were used. The qualitative research was evaluated by methods of comparison and analysis. By the means of analysis and appraisal of information from relevant literature the methods of cleaning of chimneys in particular periods of existence of chimney sweeping profession were compared. The main research was based on the evaluation of the answers to eleven questions concerning the issues of cleaning chimneys and the impact on health and enviromental protection and safety. The questions were presented to chimney sweepers in the form of an electronic questionnaire which was sent to two hundred persons from the whole area of the Czech Republic by e-mail. From the mentioned number 26 respondents sent their answers back. The results of the questionnaire survey were evaluated by the method of comparison individual opinions of the respondents were compared and after that the summary answers about various aspects related to chimney sweeping profession were made. The aim of this work was to compare the development of methods of chimney cleaning during various periods of existence of chimney sweeping profession and also to appraise the situation in the present days, including statutory instruments. The results of the research should have answered two main questions the first one should have assessed the effect of methods of chimney cleaning used in the present on health and enviromental protection and safety in comparison with the methods used in the past. The answer to the second one should have appraised legislation which deals with issues of chimney cleaning from the point of its comprehensiveness. The research shows that the techniques and methods of cleaning chimneys and flues used in the present guarantee better and higher health and enviromental protection and safety than the methods used in the past. However it is necessary to mention the fact that the number of fires which arise because of the chimney activity is still relatively high. According to the legislation the results show that the actual laws and regulations are sufficient, however in some aspects, especially in education system and professional preparation of chimney sweepers, we can find substantial defects.

The cellular elements participating in the inflammatory response
CHMELOVÁ, Veronika
The issue of inflammation is a very complicated and extensive topic, which by far does not just cells that the task of this thesis. It's a proces to helping maintain the internal environment of the organism and its task is cope with external environmental influences, which may mean risk for the organism. Inflammatory cell response is the mechanism which the body defends itself against infections and corrects damaged tissue. But this process can not be understood only as a defensive reaction. Especially with persistent inflammation may evolve a disease state which leads to irreversible tissue damage. In this case, the pathologic response. The theoretical part describes the course of inflammatory reactions and focus on individual blood cells. In this part of thesis, describe their morphological structure, interaction and role in the pathophysiological process. The practical part is devoted to specifics methods which can be used to investigate inflammatory cells. I appreciate their advantages and disadvantages, and describe the principles and practices of these methods. The most basic method is the fabrication and painting the blood smear and microscopic minus differential leukocyte budget. For higher level can be considered Hematology Analyzer, in addition to white blood cells provides a range of information, including platelets and red series. The last method, which the work is concerned with flow cytometry. The huge growth in recent years, the opportunity to investigate a large number of parameters. But this places high demands on the correct interpretation of the data. The last part is concerned with mast cell and problems of its investigations both in terms of hematological and histological methods.

Portraits-Alter ego
BUČKOVÁ, Michaela
The bachelor work is focused in the topic of alter ego in art, mainly in portrait and self- portrait. This work is diveded in two parts-theory and practical part. In the first part I´m interested in ?alter ego?- where it comes form, history (shamanism), these days ( body modification). In the sekond part I´m interested in person (as a whole unit), psychology and psychoanalysis. In the end of the theory I remember (notice) an author, who works with simile topics. In the practical part I describe technice of painting, materials and steps, achich was used.
