Business processes in project management

The bachelor thesis focuses on project management processes in the engineering company Bosch Rexroth. Specifically, the thesis deals with the analysis of the process of a selected order in the company and the subsequent comparison with the internal company directive that defines the process engineering of the product. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the theoretical background of the thesis. The second part is analytical, containing data on the standardized process of the order according to the directive and the real process of the selected order in the company. These data were obtained through non-standardized observation, semi-structured interviews with the project manager, supplemented by data from the information system and internal company documents. The final section is propositional and contains suggestions for improvement at the level of sub-business processes.

Process management in the Sales department ČZ a.s.

The main object of this master's thesis is to introduce process management and then apply it on a real company. The aim of the theoretical part was to define terms used in process management and describe it from different perspectives. An outline of the history of process management has offered insights into the personalities and the companies that have played a part in how the process management has arisen, and therefore how it looks today. Business process improvement and implementing business management have been the subjects of further theoretical subchapters. These methodologies included reengineering, Kaizen, TOC, Lean, Six Sigma. Process mapping is described in the end of the theoretical part. The theoretical knowledge was then applied in the practical part of this thesis. Firstly the company ČZ a.s. was introduced. However the domain of this thesis have become a mapping and describing of business processes in the company mainly in the Sales Department of the Tools Division. The conclusion is how to change the process of Order management in the Sales Department and how it will affect the Tools Division.

This Bachelors Thesis deals with Project Management focused od Business Process Improving. In the thesis is represented the methodology of Project Management in the company and then one of the process involved in the company Project Management is being investigated. This Process is the process of implementation of design changes on already delivered products. Because this process is not internally standardized in the company, its new Process Model has been designed. This model is then used to demonstrate weak points of the Process. Using the knowledge gained during completing this thesis these weak points are then being removed by designing new optimized model of the process.

The main goal of this diploma thesis is analysed of the process management and its principles in the selected company. The theoretical part is divided into few chapters where basic parts like the process, process management, monitoring, busines process improvement and others are described. The practical part includes study of process control implementation in particular company. During the analysis process management are applied analysis, observations and interviews with employees and with leadership.
