case management in municipalities
HORNÁTOVÁ, Zuzana
The bachelor thesis deals with case management, which is a process of coordinated cooperation between the client and the case manager. The aim of the thesis is to find out whether the municipalities with extended competence in South Bohemia have information about the benefits of case management in municipalities. The theoretical part is based on the study of literature related to the topic and is focused on the definition of terms such as case management, case management models, case manager, social work in municipalities. Furthermore, topics such as networking, case conferencing, confidentiality, community planning and health and social care are explained. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is devoted to the evaluation of the research questions through a qualitative research strategy. The necessary data was collected through interviews with social workers from different municipalities in South Bohemia based on the recommendations of the previous communication partner. I categorised and subsequently analysed the collected material using the open coding method. On the basis of these steps it was possible to evaluate the aim of the bachelor thesis and to draw a conclusion. From the result of the research, it can be concluded that workers in municipalities in South Bohemia have only theoretical information about case management, but are aware of the importance of coordinated cooperation, which they do to a limited extent. With one exception, where the municipality uses case management in social work after prior training and increasing the number of staff. The results obtained could be used in practice by social workers in municipalities that are considering introducing case management into their social strategies.
Counseling in the Context of Health and Social Care
PALOCHOVÁ, Markéta
The aim of the bachelor 's thesis was to find out how social counseling is provided in the context of health and social care in medical facilities. The theoretical part of the thesis introduced the basic characteristics of social counseling. In the practical part, research questions were set. To achieve the set goal of the bachelor's thesis, a qualitative research strategy was chosen using the method of questioning and the technique of semi-structured interview. The research group consisted of health and social workers who worked in hospitals in the South Bohemian Region at the time of the research. The semi-structured interviews were recorded in audio form with the consent of the informants and subsequently transcribed. Data analysis was performed by open coding method. The bachelor thesis deals with individual aspects of providing social counseling and introduces the actual state of implementation of social counseling in hospitals from the perspective of health and social workers. The research showed that health and social workers in hospitals provide social counseling mainly to hospitalized clients and their family members, whom they help to solve the current social situation. Social counseling is mainly focused on providing post-hospitalization care. It usually takes place at the patient's bedside or in the office of the health and social workers. The research revealed problems with insufficiently secured privacy in the provision of social counseling to bedridden people, the need to educate the public in the field of social services and also draws attention to the appropriateness of increasing the safety of health and social workers. It will be possible to use the bachelor's thesis as a source of information on the method of providing social counseling in health care facilities in the South Bohemian Region. It will also serve as feedback for individual medical facilities in which the research was conducted.

PAZDEROVÁ, Jitka
The goal of a bachelor thesis called The Role of a Health and Social Worker in the Provision of Health and Social Care for Hospitalized Patients was to define the purpose of a health and social worker in providing health and social care for hospitalized patients in various chosen departments. The goal was partly achieved with the use of a theoretical research for the given topic, which is covered in the first chapter of the bachelor thesis. Following part of the thesis is the practical chapter, which either confirmed or denied the conclusions from the theoretical part. The resolution was based on the semi-structured interviews with eight interviewees who were all health and social workers from various hospital departments. The conclusion of the practical research was made using the qualitative research approach based on the semi-structured interviews with health and social workers who are currently actively engaging in the health and social services. The semi-structured interviews were transcribed word-to-word and encoded using the open coding. The codes were then processed by using the method of creating clusters, which were later used to find relations within the individual clusters.

COMPREHENSIVE CARE IN CZECH AND BRITISH HEALTH CARE
SÝKOROVÁ, Michaela
The topic of this bachelor thesis is Comprehensive Care in the Czech and British Health Systems. We put the finger on the social policy of the Czech Republic and Great Britain, in two historically and culturally different countries. The aim was to map out and clarify basic concepts, principles, possibilities of solution and obstacles to comprehension care. This area of social policy is closely related to each of us, and therefore it is the most discussed topic. For this reason, it is important to know the basic facts and comparation within other countries which can help us in shaping our own strategy. The theoretical part deals with the historical development of the social policy of the two countries, with their importance, organizations, their determinants and models (especially in health and social areas). It also touches the current situation in the area of rehabilitation (basic concepts, transformation of meaning, legal anchoring, change of paradigm) from the point of view of the Czech Republic and Great Britain. To achieve the goals of my work, I chose a qualitative research strategy. After analyzing one case, specifically post-stroke patients, I created several questions for respondents. These sets of questions concerned post-health care, which could improve, simplify, or improve the situation of a patient in a given situation. My respondents were health and social workers from the Czech Republic and Great Britain. I acquired it through a method of deliberate choice. We used a semi-structured interview for data collection. The results of the observations were divided into six parts characterizing not only the overall view of healthcare professionals and social workers on the coordination of care and unified information, but also possible barriers and obstacles. The results are compared to each other. These comparison makes possible to assess the strengths and weaknesses of comprehensive care in the both countries. The most noticeable difference is evident in the coordination of health and social care; according to the results, it can be said that it does not work in the Czech Republic, Great Britain uses this institute quite commonly without any significant difficulties. In practice, it would be possible to use the knowledge gained by the research as a basis for the decision making of managers in the health and social sphere.
