For my bachelor thesis I was designing a new city gallery in Litomyšl. Part of my work was to analyze the city and find a suitable plot. In my case, this plot is between streets Havlíčkova, Zahájská and A.Tomíčka and it is located by the northen part of the very city centre. My goal was to design a new building for the gallery which supports informal and urban atmosphere. That way the gallery is not just an important cultural institution but it serves also as a meeting place. It is a place where everyday life merges with the gallery life. This is due to the combination of the gallery and a small apartement building and due to intentional merge of gallery and non-gallery working space.
Development of the border settlements and their inhabitants of the Český les
Angelovová, Kamila ; Šalanda, Bohuslav (advisor) ; Pohunek, Jan (referee)
The presented report surveys development of settlements and their native inhabitants in area of the Czech Forest Mountains in the West of the Czech Republic. This area was almost inaccessible during the communist era because it belonged to strictly monitored area on the border with the Federal Republic of Germany. Many villages, originally settled by Germans, became extinct. They became ruins in the course of time. The first part of the text is a case study of community called Lísková which is situated about 20 kilometers from Domažlice. The second part of the text describe a very similar village, which was not destroyed in 1956 unlike the village of Lísková. This village has survived up to this day. The aim of this dissertation is to find out what factors lead to the process of the extinction of the village and what were the reasons for other settlements having survived the ordered demolition in the borderland. Key words: border locality, human settlements, expulsion, extinct villages, borderline, fluctuation of population, social construction of reality, "take root", nations
Inovace množení dřevin bylinnými řízky v provozních podmínkách
Veselá, Jaroslava
The thesis is aimed at innovations in propagation of woody plants using herbal cuttings in the forest nurseries Pod Babím Lomem. Individual factors have been investigated on selected species of Cornus stolonifera, Deutzia scabra ´Plena´and Spiraea bumalda ´Goldflame´. Herbal cuttings have been sampled twice in the period between June and August 2018. Four variants have been planted after each sampling using different seedling trays and substrates. The results evaluated how the cuttings rooted and the total number of roots. The first samples have been found more successful from the rooting perspective. Among the different planting approaches, the control variant – with perlite-free substrate – showed the best results. The other way around, the worst results have been measured among the variants with substrate enriched with perlite. The results also point out the need for some improvements on the farm, e.g. the irrigation has been found insufficient.

Ověření stimulátorů růstu při množení azalek, Rhododendron L.
Čarnogurská, Pavla
8. Experiment pursued stimulators for propagation of Japanese Azaleas. Mother plants of varieties of Japanese Azaleas species 'Oslava' and 'Diamant Alba' were based on three sites : outside, in the coldframe (overshadowed during summer period) and in the greenhouse. 55 pieces of the species 'Oslava' were planted, 19 pieces of the species 'Diamant Alba' were planted in the greenhouse and 35 pieces in the coldframe and outside. During winter time some of the plants got frozen. Simultaneously the experiment was extended in the second vegetation period by new mutation called 'Rubinstern'. The experiment proved the best rooting accomplishments were given by species 'Oslava'. Species 'Diamant Alba' gave quite weak results of rooting caused mainly by low cold resistance. The worst results of rooting were given by the species 'Rubinstern'. The trial confirmed, that the best of the cultivar, from rooting point of view, is mutation 'Oslava'. Cultivar 'Diamant Alba' was showed poor rooting process, because of its lower freeze resistence. The worst results of rooting were given by the species 'Rubinstern'. In the first vegetative period the parent plants from outside of a low growth which is a reason why it's being left without mentioning the quantity. The AS-1 stimulator was used and the experiment was even enhanced to treatment applying IBA and non-stimulating control. The results showed that used IBA, AS -- 1 stimulators and the non -- stimulated control gave very similar results. No statistical difference was found between the first and the second iterancy in 2006. After heaping up some loose soil, the cuttings that had 5 or more roots reached the best fixation. Achieved reproduction yield found at the type termed 'Oslava' proves, that there is a real option of using stimulators for rooting of cuttings in the regular practice of agricultural comp. in Jeseník.
Množení okrasných dřevin dřevitými řízky s využitím černé fólie
Mejtská, Jana
ABSTRACT The aim of this work was to test the effect of propagation time (autumn or spring) on propagation effectivity of four woody species. Further, the use of growth stimulator and the use of black plastic cover for planting were tested during both autumn and spring terms. The experiment was performed on the experimental area of the Department of breeding and propagation of horticultural plants. The autumn part of the experiment was started on 11th November 2009, the spring part began on 15th March 2010. During both experimental terms, following woody species were cut and planted: Cornus alba, Deutzia gracilis Nikko, Deutzia scabra Plena a Ligustrum ovalifolium. Half of the cuttings were planted under the black plastic cover, half was planted without the use of the cover. In each half the use of stimulator was tested -- the cuttings were stimulated by IBA solution for twelve hours. All experiments were performed in triplicate repetition. The propagation effectivity was evaluated on the basis of the amount of rooted cuttings and the length of adventitious roots. The results show that during the spring term propagation was more effective than during autumn. The use of stimulator or plastic cover did not significantly effect rooting. Based on the experiment results I recommend spring propagation of the woody species which enables thorough rooting of the cuttings before winter. The best rooting was observed in Deutzia scabra and Ligustrum ovalifolium. These woody species should be propagated with the use of hard wood cuttings. Rooting of some tested species Deutzia gracilis and Cornus alba was insufficient regardless of experimental conditions. In these species, another way of propagation should be considered.
Použití přípravku Rhizopon při množení dřevin
Mikisková, Alexandra
The aim of the thesis is the influence of the stimulator Rhizopon on rooting of cuttings of selected coniferous and evergreen trees. For this trial was used conifers e.g. Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Filifera Aurea Nana', Juniperus squamata 'Blue Star', Picea abies 'Nidiformis', Picea glauca 'Conica', Taxus baccata 'Repandens', Taxus x media 'Hicksii', Thuja occidentalis 'Teddy'. As samples of evergreen trees was chosen a Buxus sempervirens 'Globosa' and Buxus sempervirens 'Winter Beauty'. Twenty variants of Rhizopon of various concentration and the active ingredient were used for the stimulation of cuttings. As a result of this experiment, it was found that the best rating of coniferous species were Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Filifera Aurea Nana' and Taxus x media 'Hicksii', rooting of these kinds of trees reached 90%. The best rooting of evergreen trees was a Buxus sempervirens 'Globosa', with 100% success of rooting. However, these results cannot be considered as a final result and it has to be repeated for a few seasons.
