Alcohol abusers and substance users in rehab and their crimes.

Criminality, that is committed in relation with using alcohol or others illegal addictive substances is affected by series of specific factors. Goal of my work is to explore whether and how relates using of addictive substances with committing of criminal activity by clients with addiction syndrome, undergoing medium-term institutional treatment of addiction. Bachelor thesis named Criminal activity of clients addicted to alcohol and non-alcohol drugs in institutional treatment of addiction in its theoretical part defines individual concepts related to using of addictive substances, criminal activity, which is related to users of addictive substances and also accents description of constitutional treatment. It also mentions ordered institutional treatment. The practical part deals with quality research, analyzing seven interviews with clients in institutional treatment of addiction. Methodology of the research is based on grounded theory, opened and axial coding. The result of the research is finding, that length of drug career does not have to relate with frequency and severity of committed criminal activity.
