Conversion of Car Front Suspension
Chaura, Václav ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the design of the conversion of the car front suspension for racing purpose. Existing suspension solution is described by analyse static and kinematic quantities. Furthermore, a change of suspension is proposed to improve the driving characteristics of the vehicle, where the kinematic, dynamic and strength analysis of the newly designed suspension is performed. The conclusion summarizes the comparison of the original and the new suspension design.
Passenger Car Kingpin Axis Geometry
Straka, Martin ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is focused on of passenger car kingpin axis geometry. Values of toe-in, wheel camber, positive castor and steering axis inclination of 74 cars are gained from Bosch ESI [tronic] database. There is confrontation, linear dependence and influence of drive wheels on these data.
Effect of Suspension Kinematics on Vehicle Handling
Trnková, Lucie ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with effect of suspension kinematics on vehicle handling. In the first part of the thesis, there are the basic parameters of suspension kinematics introduced. In order to perform the simulations, two multi-body vehicle models are created, one of which is derived from an off-road vehicle, for which there has been a significant change in suspension. For each model, there further is a description and comparison of the kinematic characteristics of different settings variants of their suspension introduced. The main part of the thesis deals with the analysis effect of individual suspension changes on vehicle handling during the selected driving maneuvers. The results of the simulations are qualitatively and quantitatively evaluated, and the resulting findings are in the conclusion summarized.
Wheel Alignment Measuring Systems
Kliš, Kamil ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with issues of wheel alignment measuring systems. The prime chapter of this bachelor thesis specifies the basic parameters of the wheel suspension geometry. In the next chapter of wheel alignment measuring systems are described. In the final chapter I was dealing with development of the measuring devices and modern trends.
Autocross Buggy Suspension Kinematics
Zubíček, David ; Hejtmánek, Petr (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on finding kinematics points front and rear suspensions autocross buggy. The gained points were used for finding kinematic characteristics and describe their effect on driving.
Design of facilities for measuring and set-up of race car chassis
Hejtmánek, Petr ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
This Diploma thesis deals with the design of facilities for measuring wheel alignment and set-up of race car chassis. Two versions of measuring system have been elaborated, each measurement procedure is described. Stress analysis of main parts follow. The last part consists of factors affecting accuracy of measurement.
