The Establishment and Management of a Small Enterprise

This thesis is focused on the development of a business plan, which describes all of the essential internal and external factors related to the establishment of a new company. The business plan includes a questionnaire used in conducting a preliminary marketing survey, focused on potential customers and their requirements, in terms of the services sought after in the given field of business. This thesis should serve as an instruction manual for the establishment and management of the small company of Miroslav Malý, who is planning to start a business in website creation, web-design, and related services.

The importance of information still grows at the present time of information age. Besides, the internet is bottomless source of information and also infinite communication channel it is powerful tool to make a profit too. Many people appreciate its potential and many of them even established a business on internet or expanded their services to this dimension. The result was rapid growth of competition in e-commerce area. Companies try to catch their customers all possible ways. That's why there is tendency in webdesign focusing on user's needs and comfort. This work deals one of the main parts of webdesign. Namely layout and component position on the website. Work contains theoretical part -- characteristic of layout and practical part -- analyses layout of e-shops in Czech Republic.

Goal of this bachelors work is to study and valuate the problematics of webdesign process and team, with special attention to character of graphic designer. Main goal is to explore the problematics of developing a web portfolio. This Bachelor work is connection of two parts. First part is anout theoretics of web development. The second explore the problematics of development of the web portfolio and it is focused on development of my own web portfolio.

Web Navigation on E-commerce Websites in the Czech Republic

The primary purpose of this study is to explore web navigation design practices on e-commerce sites in the Czech Republic. Qualitative research methodology was utilized in this study defining: sample of e-commerce sites, navigation types and qualitative design properties of web navigation. The collected data are presented in compliance with the utilized methodology including summary of important empirical evidences in shape of recommendation for e-commerce companies. The thesis consists of four parts: the first chapter brings up an introduction to web navigation and sets thesis philosophy. The next chapter introduces the theoretical discourse about navigation systems and design characteristics as information base for the third part describing methodology of qualitative characteristics adherent to web navigation which are evaluated in the final part.

Analysis of the graphical user interface of specific websites

The aim of this thesis is to develop a methodology for comparison of the graphical user interface of web sites, its application in a segment of sites and in consequence obtaining feedback on the appropriateness of this methodology. The introductory chapter discusses the importance of web services and outlines the development of the Internet. A selection of the segment describing its specifics follows. The methodology itself is described in the following section and is used on selected websites. In conclusion, this comparison is described and evaluated. The analysis concludes with an assessment of selected methodology.

Comparison of Prague's and London's websites

The main theme of the work is global analyse and comparison of Prague's and London's websites. At first treats of the Internet, then focus to the specific websites. The text also contains case studies of structure searching. Then the work describes the most important parts of websites, like usability, accessibility, information value and graphic design. After that there is the creation a system of evaluation and it's applied to chosen websites. These results are verified by user test. At the end of the work is final comparison, and few concepts for websites improvement.

Práce upozorňuje na prostředky vizuální komunikace, charakterizuje proces komunikace a její podoby, vizuální působení firem prostřednictvím grafických prvků ve firemních dokumentech a na webových stránkách, vymezuje kritéria hodnocení webových stránek a zaměřuje se na oblast vizuálního působení firemních webových stránek. Práce také hodnotí konkrétní webové stránky některých leasignových společností působících na českém trhu.
