Brexit and its implications for European integration

The diploma thesis Brexit and its implications for European integration uses the method of explanatory case study in an effort to analyze the causes and impacts of the Great Britain's withdrawal from the European Union. The thesis therefore examines the historical context of the complicated relations between Great Britain and the European Communities from their formation in the 1950s to the present, which ultimately led to the historic step of United Kingdom's withdrawal from the EU on 31 January 2020. The thesis then maps the negotiations regarding the Withdrawal Agreement and the future arrangement of mutual relations, which took place between 2016 - 2020. The effects of the UK's withdrawal from the EU on the composition and functioning of the European institutions and the impact of the changes on the remaining member states are also analyzed. In addition, the work presents possible arrangements of economic relations between the two parties, which are currently the subject of negotiations between the UK and the EU during the transitional period from 1 February 2020 to 31 December 2020. Legal Aspects of Withdrawal from the EU

The thesis Legal Aspects of Withdrawal from the EU is divided into two parts. The theoretical part sums up the legislation of the withdrawal according to article 5O of the Lisbon Treaty. There is also an example of withdrawal from the EU before the article 50 has been even applied. The section dedicated to the practical results attained from the research was completed by analysing existing preferential agreements, which the UK has owing to EU, as any other member state. Then the same analysis has been carried out with existing preferential agreements, that the UK concluded with third countries. There has been done a forecast of the trade balance and its effect on GDP for the next two years according to the prediction of the Bank of England.

This thesis deals with the current topic of the possible departure of Britain from the European Union and its position in the context of integration. Work first introduces the development of the relationship of Great Britain to the European Union since the Second World War to the present. Aim of the study is to clarify the reasons that explain the current debate about the leaving of the country from Union. Following comparative part, which are compared attitudes of contemporary British political parties with regard to their preference to remain in or leave from the European Union. The thesis also examines the process of withdrawal of a member state of the European Union enshrined in the Lisbon Treaty, and in this part of providing alternative opportunities of withdrawal of member state from European Union and their examples in specific countries in Europe. The final part discusses the potential political consequences on the Great Britain in the event of a departure from integration and mentions the possible scenarios for the European Union if Great Britain would leave it.

Exclusion And Withdrawal of Members And Cancellation of Their Membership In a Limited Liability Company Abstract This thesis aims to analyze current legislation of exclusion and withdrawal of members and cancellation of their membership in a limited liability company. Although comparing the current legislation with the previous one is not the purpose of the thesis, such comparison is provided in several places. The purpose is to show the same or, conversely, different features of both, particularly in relation to the applicability of existing case law and doctrinal interpretation. The work consists of three main chapters that form a coherent wholes. The first chapter is devoted to the withdrawal of a member of a limited liability company and is further divided into several sub-chapters. It deals with the legal aspects of the withdrawal of a member under the Czech legislativ. It describes in detail the various reasons of the withdrawal and also offers some suggestions de lege ferenda. The second chapter focuses on the exclusion of a shareholder of a limited liability company by the general meeting. It brings an analysis of legislation, describes the procedure of exclusion and analyzes the available case law. My bachelor thesis focuses on the legal aspects of a state's withdrawal from the European Union. It analyzes current legislation, compares it with different organizations, and uses Great Britain as an example. The main goal of this thesis is an impact assessment of said withdrawal which outlines the relationship between Great Britain and the European Union. This thesis is divided into several parts. The first part deals with European integration and its causes, goals, and problems. The second part is about the nature of withdrawal - definition, impacts, and an examples of an alternative solution which would be applicable after such an action. The third part focuses in detail on the Lisbon Treaty along with analysis of Article 50 and comments on this amendment. In the fourth part, the comparison of World Trade Organization legislation is made. The case study is all about Great Britain in which withdrawal was the most plausible and realistic option due to the increase of euroscepticism. This case study outlines the relationship between Great Britain and the European Union, mentions negotiated exceptions (opt-outs), considers the causes and probability of withdrawal as well as the economic and overall impacts. The conclusion of this thesis contains a summary of the most important thoughts and points out the danger of such an important step like withdrawal.
