Compare the efficacy and efficiency of traditional milling technology with trochoidal Milling
Ferfecki, Artur ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Mouralová, Kateřina (advisor)
This thesis deal with possible ways of producing grooves in industrial companies and include a new technology using trochoidal grooving. Part of this work is compare the technology of trochoidal grooving with the production of the same groove using conventional milling on the concrete example and draws the suitability, advantages and disadvantages of using trochoidal grooving technology. Thesis was created in cooperation with Seco Tools CZ s.r.o. and with its specialized employers.
Optimization of tool cutting geometry for high-speed machining of thin-walled parts
Barcuch, Jakub ; Humár, Anton (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The theoretical part of the thesis deals with materials used in the aircraft industry with a focus on aluminium alloys. Then it describes high speed machining, its characteristics and its comparison with conventional machining. The following chapters describe strategies of machining thin-walled parts and a description of vibration that occurs during machining. The practical part deals with selection appropriate tool geometry, machining of thin-walled parts and evaluation of their deflection during machining.
High-speed Machining of Bearings from Material 100Cr6
Tropp, Pavel ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
This Master's thesis deals with the issue of high-speed turning of the 100Cr6 material. The aim is to identify and experimentally validate an innovative production process for a particular component. The thesis includes theoretical basis of high-speed machining, analysis of the current state of the manufacturing process, innovation design and experimental verification. At the end of the thesis, parameters of the machined surfaces of specimens are evaluated.

Description of machine tool spindles
Lábus, Miroslav ; Opl, Miroslav (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
This study describes the types of spindles used for HSC machine tools. Its introduction focused on the main issue of high-speed cutting whose characteristic make demands for machine tools and for tools used for this technology. After specification of basic terms and demands for spindles the study concerns structure of HSC spindles especially ways of placing and driving as well as balancing and cooling. Furthermore the study includes summary of producers. Conclusion of the study covers brief recapitulation of exhibition EMO in Hannover 2007 and focused on developing trends regarding spindles.
High Speed Milling of Aluminum Alloys for Aircraft Industry
Pazdera, Lukáš ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of this paper is a complex analysis of the high speed cutting in the aircraft industry. The paper studies especially the machining of aluminum alloys, which are characterized in the first part. We can find in next chapters a view on the high speed cutting from aspect of the chip formation, the force load and the machined surface roughness. The end of the paper is focused on the issues of the CNC, machining of typical aircraft shapes and description of roughing paths, which increase the productivity.
