BETWEEN FILM AND VIDEOGAME: SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES IN NARRATION

Media convergence between films and videogames is also the matter of narration techniques. While many of the theoretical studies describe and analyze the visual-stylization of both media types, the main goal of this thesis is to aim solely on narration. This thesis analyses in two case studies (films Edge of Tomorrow /2014/ and Memento /2000/) if the narrative techniques of videogames can be applied in film as well.
Double Journey Of The Queen

This study focuses on structural analysis of narrative of the double journey film The Queen according to three types of structuring - classical three act structure, sequence approach and the hero's journey. Each of those methods is examining the story with regard to the fact that the film has two protagonists. It is also taking into consideration the possibility of adjusting these model structures to fit this particular story. The study concludes that each of those methods can be beneficial if used in service of the chosen theme.

In the thesis entitled STORYTELLING AND NARRATION as an voice of contemporaneus live verbal creativity the aim is, above all, to capturean image of conteporaneus storyteller. We would like to define his role and possibilities in the present-day society and culture.We are searching for its roots and trying to define the main pillars of the basic storyteller´s skills. We evaluate today´s storytelling as a phenomenon embeded in oral tradition,but lead beyond the possibilities and boundaries of this primary orality and getting forms of nowadays live verbal creativity, which is determined by so-called secondary orality, and also here finds out its relevant place.

This Use of storytelling methods in stage production preparation with a secondary school drama class dissertation deals with creative bachelor's project, purpose of which became stage production making with a secondary school drama class using basic elements of storytelling: storyteller, story and audience communication. Part of this dissertation is an attempt to define boundaries of this art form.
