Between the Landscape and the City

The task of the work was to propose an entrance area for the premises of the Faculty of Science, University of Palacký University Olomouc. I design my object with the intention of not separating the site from the rest of the area but creating space that is attractive to discover. Inspiration for the shape and form of the object is the earth's floe, which breaks and rises from the surface, which brings gradation of the volume from the country to the city. By sloping the edges, the composition has its dynamism and creates square spaces in front of the main entrance and the square to which the mass is gradually being considered, it retains connection with an existing area park.

Thesis deals with issues of storage furniture, which is designed for an entrance area of a family house. It's therefore a hall equipment. Theoretical part of the thesis deals with appropriate kinds of furniture for a hall, which is primarily storage furniture. Aslo it discusses about problems of furniture dimension, material, construction and safety. Final proposal of hall equipment is based on search existing offers on the czech market. Practical part of the thesis deals with construction solution of furniture design in the hall. The main point is worked out technological documentation.
