E-commerce of Entrance Tickets

This master thesis deals with e-commerce of entrance tickets. Current reservation and sale systems of entrance tickets are described, advantages and risks of those systems are described from the customer point of view and management point of view. Improvement of e-commerce of entrance tickets implemented in Brno City Theatre is suggested based on detailed analysis of internal and external factors, which are defined with usage of SLEPT, SWOT analysis and Porter model of competition.

This work deals with the problems connected with projection and implementation of information system for advanced ticket sale. The system allows selling and buying tickets for various actions. It is capable of generating and sending ticket electronically. It includes administration and user requirements. Implementation was applied using technologies PHP, MySQL and JavaScript on Apache server.

Box offices in Prague

This thesis is focused at theater box offices. The key aspects describing the merits and importance of the box offices are introduced such as: distribution of information, visual and location aspects of the box office, pricing policy, and marketing support. Furthermore the work concerns the audience segmentation and its development opportunities. The scope of the work is built up from general marketing knowledge towards the research analysis of five selected theater box offices in Prague. The theoretical part offers particular solution and discussion on the box office standing as a powerful marketing tool. The field work introduces selected box offices and researches the following criteria: appearance of the box-office, appearance of the ticket, distribution of information, and the marketing standards of theater souvenirs.
