The practical part includes analysis of water outflows from reservoirs, evaluation of minimum night flow and determination of basic water loss indicators for selected district metered areas of the network. The above-mentioned water supply network is operated by the Vak Vsetín, a.s.

This Bachelor thesis is focused on hydraulic analysis of Hnojnik water supply system. The structure of this thesis is devided into several parts. The first part focuses on general hydraulic analysis, possibilities of using matematic modeling, and types of analysis that can be performed in a water network. Next section contains a list and brief characteristics of software tools used for hydraulic analysis. Attention is focused on the EPANET 2.0 which was used to build a model of Hnojnik water supply system. The last section describes the construction of the network model, input data used for modeling and evaluation od hydraulic analysis.
Optimisation of pressure condition in water supply systems
Sucháček, Tomáš ; Svoboda,, Miroslav (referee) ; Pollert, Jaroslav (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the optimization of pressure conditions in the water supply network. There is a deep theoretical and critical search of the state of the art and there are fields where there is an insufficient field of knowledge, the so-called "knowledge gap". Experiments are proposed here to determine the dependence of water consumption on pressure conditions. There is a description of experiments and way how it was carried out, which were carried out on the water connection, in the pressure zone and in the laboratory on the hydraulic loop. There is proposed a methodology of experimental determination of the mathematical dependence of water consumption on pressure so that it can be used for optimization problems, where consumption is considered as an optimization criterion. The results of individual experiments are evaluated and a critical discussion of the achieved results is carried out. Finally, the achieved results are compared with the values found in a deep literature search.
Pressure optimisation in the water-supply system of the Střelná village
Sucháček, Tomáš ; Valkovič,, Pavel (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This document aims on aplication of sophisticated software programs to accomplish hydraulic analysis of real water supply, design and optimization measures for improvement of pressure conditions in water network. In this work is stated a list and description of software enabling to accomplish static or longterm hydraulic analysis of water supply when the most world used program EPANET 2.0 is described more deeply. There is described working of a EPANET and his algorithm also there are explain principles on which EPANET is based. During the hydraulic analysis of real system was used sophisticated software EPANET 2.0. With this program was processed hydraulic analysis of chosen water supply system of small consumption area. Based on the results of analysis pressure conditions has been designed and optimized measure to improve pressure conditions in the water network.
Design and Operation of Water Disinfections Plants
Krupicová, Simona ; Rajnochová, Markéta (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
In the first part of my bachelor thesis I deal with individual disinfectants used for hygienic supply of drinking water based on chlorine and without chlorine. Then I mention the operation without chlorine disinfectants. In the second part of this thesis I describe individual plants using various disinfection methods and at the end of the thesis I compare these methods and use it in practice.
Stochastic modeling of water consumption in the water supply network
Kopecký, Josef ; Tureček,, Jan (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with stochastic water demand modellling in the water supply network. In the opening section, a research is created, where two different approaches to stochastic modelling of water consumption are presented. The practical part describes the creation of a deterministic hydraulic model and its calibration. Generated stochastic water demand patterns with a small time step of 1 minute, are then inserted into this model. Each household is assigned with a unique water demand pattern. Then a hydraulic analysis was done. A comparison of deterministic and stochastic approaches is presented at the end of the thesis. The comparison shows, that small-time step modelling does not have a big impact on the pressure ratios in the water supply network, but has a huge impact on the maximum flows and speeds occurring in links of the hydraulic model.
Analysis of water age in the water supply network of a selected area
Pellarová, Tereza ; Rajnochová, Markéta (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of water age in drinking water distribution system. The theoretical part discusses the factors influencing the age of water and the quality of delivered water, and also the way in which the age influences the quality of water. Furthermore, the methods of age determination are mentioned, as well as indicators of high age. The consumption of mains water and water prices in Europe are also discussed. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of the age of water in the water supply system. The data needed for the analysis was obtained by means of the EPANET 2.2 tool, in which simulations were performed for periods with different water consumption, including the annual average, summer (July, August) and winter (January, February). After the simulation, the data were entered into MS Excel and then statistically processed and evaluated. The aim of the practical part was to find the correlations of the factors acting in the network. The age/velocity and age/flow rate were examined in the water main sections. The relations between age/consumption from the nodes and age/pressure were examined in the nodes of the network. All data were monitored within the constant age intervals occurring in the municipality´s shared water supply system.
Hydraulic analysis of the Velký Beranov water supply network
Kopecký, Josef ; Remeš,, Bronislav (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is focused on hydraulic analysis of water supply network of the Velký Beranov in Jihlava district. A detailed quasi-dynamic hydraulic model of the water supply network was created, and then subsequently calibrated and verified on the basis of measurement of hydraulic quantities on the water supply network. The least squares numerical method was used to calibrate the model. The simulation model illustrates behavior of the water supply network during the characteristic operating conditions of the water supply. The follow-up analyzes carried out assessment of the pressure ratios with respect to the existing and future development given by the zoning plan.
Assessment of pressure conditions in the water supply network of the village Poličná
Zuzaňák, René ; Libosvár, Dušan (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is devoted to the hydraulic analysis of the water supply network in the municipality of Poličná, Vsetín district. The introductory part of the thesis is devoted to the theory of mathematical modelling of the water supply network. A quasi-dynamic hydraulic model of the entire water supply network was created to determine the pressure conditions of the water supply network and then calibrated and verified based on the pressure measurements on the water supply network. The characteristic operating conditions of the water supply network were reflected in the simulation model of EPANET 2.2. Following the existing scale and type of development given by the current zoning plan of the municipality of Poličná, the pressure conditions on the water supply network of the municipality of Poličná were assessed using the results of the hydraulic analysis. The thesis includes proposed measures to optimize the pressure conditions for the prospective scale of development.
