Study of seasonal changes of water quality in Vír reservoir
Navrátilová, Martina ; Dolejš, Petr (referee) ; Chocholáčová, Hana (advisor)
Thesis deals with measuring of chosen indicators of water quality in Vír reservoir (temperature, pH, colour, turbidity, fluorescence of fykocyanin, concentration of chlorofyl-a, pheopigments, microcystin-LR, orthophosphates, nitrates, etc.). Samples were taken from the sampling profiles 10, 30 a 50 metres from absolute level and in the season from May to October was direct in reservoir measured a vertical profile by a multifunction sonde YSI 6600.
Changes in landscape in the catchment of water-supply reservoirs Švihov and Vír I
Červeňanská, Karolína ; Lipský, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis deals with the analysis of landscape changes using the index of change and the index of development in the catchments area of our two key water reservoirs Švihov and Vír I using CORINE Land Cover and LUCC Czechia data from the time of their building to the present, with a particular focus on the landscape changes in particular protection zones. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the reservoirs, the legislative background of water protection and the interaction between water reservoirs, landscape and people. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the concept of landscape and especially with the development of landscape and population in our country from the middle of the 19th century to the present. The importance of the two reservoirs is also described, including their physical-geographic characteristics and the history of the delineation of the protection zones in their catchment areas. In the practical part, the observed time horizons, the selected territorial units and their delimitation within the protection zones are specified in more detail. In the chapter of Results, the observed changes in landscape cover, land use and population are described, both for the entire catchment area and in more detail for the particular protection zones in all the periods studied. Vliv biomanipulací s účelovou rybí obsádkou na vývoj kvality vody vodárenské nádrže Hamry
Jurek, Lukáš
I have dealt in my thesis with biomanipulation on the water reservoir Hamry. The reservoir is located near the village Hamry in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, it is meso-eutrofního character and its size (about 42 ha of water surface) and an average depth of 2 m is ranked among the smaller, shallow tank. Biomanipulation measures are there implementation and monitored in the long term (since 2008).Biomanipulation implemented in 2015, which mainly consist of removing unwanted species of fish from the reservoir were implemented by different methods at all ontogenetic levels of fish. That means collecting eggs perch Perca fluviatilis, L., seinings of juvenile stages panktivorous species of fish, as well as seinings and elimination of adult unwanted fish species. Part of the seinings were catching spawning shoals of bream Abramis brama, L. and roach Rutilus rutilus, L. With those biomanipalition actions was carried collection and evaluation of samples of zooplankton, phytoplankton, hydrochemical analyzes and physico-chemical parameters of water. Also were investigated phosphorus content in sediments. Some of the data I obtained and evaluated actively (especially zooplankton), other data were evaluated by specialists from ÚBO AV ČR Brno, or employees of the Department of Fisheries and Hydrobiology at the Institute of Zoology, Fisheries, Hydrobiology and Apiculture MENDELU Brno and I have only used this data to compare the efficiency of the imlpemented biomanipulation.
Water quality in water reservoirs and possible sources of pollution
Slabá, Nela ; Petrtýl, Miloslav (advisor) ; Kyriánová, Iveta Angela (referee)
The Bachelor's thesis is divided into four main parts. The first part is an introduction to the topic of thesis and a description of basic terms, second part is composed of the hydrological network of the Czech Republic. There is a description of the five most important water reservoirs for individual basins of the Czech Republic and the division to individual plants. For each selected tank there is a hydrological and technical description and graphic representation of suitable profiles in the period 2009-2014. At the Vltava River Basin is described WR Švihov, WR Římov and WR Hracholusky. At the Elbe River Basin is described WR Vrchlice and WR Josefův důl. The Ohře River basin is managed by WR Horka, WR Přísečnice and WR Chřibská Kamenice. The Odra river basin is managed by WR Kružberk and Morava River Basin by WR Vír I., WR Karolinku and WR Opatovice. In this part there is also legislation related to the quality of drinking water, the description of the indicators, water quality and consumption requirements for the Czech Republic . The third part deals with the problems of pollution, the sources of pollution and there is especially mentioned eutrophication. The fourth part of the thesis is focused on the impact of climate on quality of drinking water. Conclusion evaluates the current state of the quality of drinking water in the Czech Republic and it can be concluded that the quality of drinking water is increasing due to the decline of pointed pollution and better water technologies.

Kvalita vody a složení planktonních společenstev vodní nádrže Opatovice
Hylák, Tomáš
The aim of the diploma thesis was a seven month research at the valley waterworks reservoir called Opatovice by Vyškov na Moravě. Taking of the water samples was carried out once a month from two sampling places, which were located on the leeward and windward sides. On the same day these water samples were analyzed at the Fishery and Hydrobiology Department of the Mendel Univerzity in Brno, where there were determined physical and chemical parameters of water, quantitative and qualitative content of the plankton associations. The results were compared with my bachelor thesis: The Development of the Quality of Water in the waterworks reservoir Opatovice, with the results from the previous years, which were provided by the Water Supply and Sewerage company, plc in Vyškov, with the valid legislation of the Czech Republic and with selected waterworks reservoirs situated in the south Moravian region.
