Modern methods of implant manufacturing by Rapid Prototyping technology
Trubačová, Pavlína ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This research describes the possibilities of using unconventional technologies known as Rapid Prototyping methods. These methods make part of Additive manufacturing technologies. The project investigates the influences of process parameters on the final part quality and analyses the advantages and the disadvantages of using RP technologies for medical application, mainly for implant fabrication. The objective of experimental part is fabrication of samples by Selective Laser Melting (RP technology). The stainless steel will be used and two parameters will be varied (laser power, component inclination). For final evaluation of mechanical properties, surface quality, Alicona machine, compression test and Vickers’ hardness test will be used.
