The meaning and utilising of music in leisure

The thesis deals with the importance of music in the leisure time of children and youths. The first part summarizes the historical development of music in its individual stages. The next part of the thesis also deals with the concept of leisure time, its definition and individual functions. As well as it mentions the lifestyle of a human that influences the way of spending leisure time. The next part of the thesis describes chosen possibilities of using music in leisure time. It focuses on musical activities which are also part of education and itemizes possible leisure activities in the field of music. The final part deals with an influence of the music on humans. Attention is paid mainly to listening and perception of music and also points out a positive effect of the music therapy.

KOZÁKOVÁ, I. The use of music in selected types of stores. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2017. The diploma thesis focuses on the use of music in selected types of stores. To evaluate the current state, store visits (n = 62) were selected. To find out how consumers perceive background music and how it affects them, a questionnaire survey, conducted in laboratory conditions (n = 104) and in-depth interviews (n = 41), were used. Respondents were aged 18-30 years. On the basis of the data obtained, the impact of music on the customer in the business environment was determined. There was no evidence of dependence between product price evaluation and the presence of reproduced music in a laboratory experiment. The research results enabled within the target group to formulate appropriate recommendations for the vendors.

Musical listening activities of children and youth in their leisure time

The work is concentrated on musical functions in children´s and youth´s life in their leisure time and especially musical listening activities. It describes different attitudes to meaning and character of music in history. It concerns in advantage of listening activities in the area of personal children´s and youth´s development. The work notices possible risks which are connected with aversion of parents and teachers to do this leisure-time activity. The last part deals with possibilities of cultivation of listening experiences which are connected with children and youth in their leisure time.

Cultivation of musícal talent of preschool children

My bachelor´s work called {\clqq}Cultivation of musical talent of preschool children`` concerns the conditions for development of children´s musical talent in school institutions aimed at pre-school education. Aim of this work is to find out these conditions and suggest the recommendation to support these children. In the theoretical part of this work I try to deal with the issues of talent of pre-school-aged children, manifestation of musical talent, characteristics of the personality of a child demonstrating the musical talent, and issue of possibilities of support of such child. The work contains the research of conditions supporting the musical talent in nursery schools and musical schools, and also the results of contemplation in particular institutions and evaluation of the questionnaires. The practical part of the work contains the programme of developing of the musical talent of pre-school-aged children.
