The Slovak State Philharmonic Košice - The Performers of cello concerts

In this thesis, I present solo violoncello performers who collaborated with the Slovak State Philharmonic in Košice from its foundation to the present day. It contains overviews of all violoncellists who performed solo or as members of a chamber group. I have deliberately selected Slovak personalities and closer present their life and artistic work. A special chapter of the thesis presents first-run compositions for the violoncello and orchestra, from the work of Slovak composers. The last chapter of the thesis is a practical part with a research character. By means of a questionnaire, I studied how violoncello personas influence young cellists and students of conservatories in Košice.
Wofgang Boettcher - life and music

This thesis seeks to familiarize the reader with a unigue personality of Wolfgang Boettcher. This is the first comprehensive text on this brilliant cellist.It analyzes his from a childhood to the present. Deals in detail with his family and portrays the details and the background of a musical growing up. Introduces the reader to all important milestones in the life of Wolfgang and to his meetings with important personalities, which were the most important of his professional growth. I am trying to introduce Wolfgang Boettcher not only as a musician, cellist and teacher, but also as a big heart and depthless love of music. In the second part of work is detailed history of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra as it has played very important role in his life.
Gregor Piatigorsky

In this Master disertation, the author talks about the life and career of a legendary virtuoso cellist Gregor Piatigorsky. Gregor Piatigorsky is one of the most important figures in the history of cello. Piatigorsky has not only achieved an incredible solo career, but as a teacher he also raised a large number of great cellists and cello teachers of today. Among his most famous pupil are Mischa Maisky, Steven Isserlis or Raphael Wallfish. Disertation also includes authors own experience with teaching of Laurence Lesser, who was an assistant of Piatigorsky for almost 7 years, and whose style of teaching is nearly the same as Piatigorsky's.
Marek Jerie - violoncellista and educator

This thesis details the recognized and recpected personalities of Marek Jerie, which draws from the perspective of teaching and interpretative operation,but also closer to him as a person and a prominent figure of cultural events.Aside leaves or inconvenience caused by the previous regime and his departure into exile.Trough the work is also very close encounter with leading personalities of the world´s Cello ( Bohus Heran, Pablo Cassals, Andrér Navara, Mstislav Rostropovich ad.).With their views on the interpretation and art in general is their nature. Also appears in many of the links and interconnections struktures of world of the art. A very important point of this paper is a summary view of Jerieho interpretation and recording activities resting on the study of contemporary international critics. In addition to solo action Jerie was a member of several chamber ensembles ( Guarneri Trio Prague, Duo Bohuslava Martinů, and others.). In detail, the work in this regard focuses on Jerie´s artistic effect with the Guarneri Trio Prague, of which member is over twenty five years. One of the last chapters look at his teaching "laboratory ". His pupils are successfully applied worldwide, and its methods are widely recognized world wide cello public.

So far, noprefessional work about this great man has been written even if it undoubtedly deserved it. This work discusses about his life and work in the Moravian Quartet. Filled with countless memories of his most important students. It also presents the concert and concluded his personal documents and photographs.
