The first part deals with the anatomical and kinesiological context, vertebral diseases, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and the McKenzie method. The special section deals with the research of the effect of this method in the treatment of vertebral disorders. The other goals of this research were to determine the effect of this method to reduce pain and its influence on managing activities of daily living. The researched sample was consisted of patients with back pain, these patients were treated for two months at an outpatient rehabilitation department clinics.

The thesis is composed in a recherche form and is divided into general and special part. The general part of the thesis deals with the overview of vertebrogenic diseases and the possibilities of their treatment. It describes the prevalence, etiology and individual structural and functional causes of vertebrogenic diseases. In the following chapters, the individual treatment options are summarized, and the physiotherapeutic concepts and methods frequently used are described. Irena Novotná Target: The aim of this work is to describe the problems vertebral disease Methodology: This thesis deals with the processing of case reports of patients with vertebral disease. The work is divided into general and special. General section focuses on the definition of the disease, causes, clinical features, therapeutic approaches to the issue. Special section is the most important part of the thesis. It concentrates on a specific diagnosis. It contains the methodology of work, history, input kinesiology analysis, short- and long- term plan, records of the therapeutic units, the output kinesiology analysis and evaluation of the effect of therapy.
