Pohořelský, Petr ; Klimeš, Lubomír (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
In my bachelor's thesis I was concentrated on a principle of an activity, which is related to timing mechanisms of modern combustion engines, with a focus on variable valve timing. The thesis is conceived as a research of available electronic resources, professional literature and articles from professional periodicals. In the thesis there are introduced the principle, description of the activity and a brief history of combustion engines. The main part is focused on a specification, which is related to variable valve timing, and a summary of systems, which are used in today´s modern vehicles. The conclusion contains a critical evaluation, in which there are written advantages and disadvantages of this problem.
