Kundrátová, M. Development of tourism in the Podhostýnsko tourist area. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2023. The bachelor thesis is focused on the development of tourism in the tourist area of Podhostýnsko. In the first part of the thesis a literature search is prepared, which describes and explains all the concepts related to the issue. The analytical part then focuses on the description of the Podhostýnsko region and the analysis of the external and internal environment. The work also includes a questionnaire survey focused on the motivation and satisfaction of visitors in the area. In addition, interviews with accommodation establishments about tourists are obtained. Based on the findings on the current state of tourism, a proposal for its improvement was developed.

The Demographic Characteristics of the Rural Areas of Selected Districts of the Czech Republic

The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is focused on explaining the terms such as countryside and its demarcation, the typology of the countryside and the formation of the Czech countryside. The following chapter explains the terms of demography, the connection between demography and countryside and the basic demographic indicators were introduced. The population structure was classified by gender, age, education, mortality rate, birth rate, fertility rate, abortion rate, marriage rate, divorce rate and migration. The demographic characteristics of rural areas of South Bohemian Region for 2016 is compiled in the practical part. In order to define the rural area in the South Bohemian Region, a population density indicator of up to 150 inhabitants per square kilometre was applied. The main aim of this bachelor thesis is the demographic characteristics of rural areas of selected districts of the Czech Republic based on the obtained data. It is followed by their comparison among each other.

Local Action Group and its sustainability in rural areas

Aim of this thesis is to theoretically and empirically survey the territory of activity of the local action groups (MAS), MAS Šumavsko, z. s. and MAS Třeboňsko o. p. s., and on the basis of the gained information to testify or disprove possibility of sustainability of their existence just in the rural areas.
The thesis focuses on evaluation of activities of the local action groups and on solutions which would aim at maintaining of activity of the local action group, making innovation faster even overall development of the solved region.

In first part of this work are evaluated each municipality in the territory, and then the whole area of the Czech Canada. In the work is a SWOT analysis of the area and the Czech Canada is compared with other marginal regions.

Demographic development of the South Bohemian country

The target of this thesis is to assess a demographic development of the South Bohemian country since 1989. Basic components of the demographic reproduction will be analyzed in detail in selected classification level within the bounds of context of the social ? economical development. Another part of the thesis is a usage of three-dimensional analysis at GIS. This analysis should serve as a device for forecasts of the future demographic development of the South Bohemian country and also for proposals for improvement of the situation in these parts of the Czech Republic. Considering increasing pressure on a development of provinces, the most of strategic documents are focused on a development of the provinces on a local, regional or supranational level so that a possible potential of this country areas is evident from the point of view of the future development of population.
