Apartment building in Rychnov nad Kněžnou

The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the design of a new apartment building in Rychnov nad Kněžnou. The building plot is situated in a quiet part on the eastern outskirts of the city. The apartment building is detached and contains one underground and four above-ground floors. In the above-ground part, there are a total of 13 housing units and in the underground part, there are cellar cubicles, storage rooms, a technical room, and common areas such as a bicycle shed, a drying room, and a carriage house. The house has a simple rectangular floor plan and a recessed top floor. The building is based on foundation passes. The vertical load-bearing system of the above-ground floor is a brick combination of lime-sand blocks of aerated concrete blocks. The basement is made of lost formwork fittings. The horizontal load-bearing ceiling structures are monolithic reinforced concrete complemented by reinforced concrete wreaths and in other places also by reinforced concrete girders. The roof structure is designed as a single-skin flat roof with extensive vegetation.

The subject of the bachelor´s thesis is the design of an apartment building in Horní Maršov, a village located in Eastern Giant Mountains near Trutnov city. The building plot is located in the built-up center of the village near the square. The floor plan of the house is simple, rectangular. The construction system of the house is a wall made of ceramic bricks with ceilings made of monolithic reinforced concrete slabs. The roof is designed as a vegetation, counter, double-skinned with extensive greenery. The height of the building is divided into four above-ground and one underground floor, which are connected by a two-armed staircase with intermediate landings and an elevator. In the basement, there is a utility room, facilities for tenants. On the first floor there is a rental unit suitable as surgery. The apartment building has a total of 14 residential units designed from size 1 + KK to size 4 + 1, including a unit for people with limited mobility and orientation located on the first floor.
City hotel

The thesis deals with a new hotel construction in Brno. The paper aims to elaborate a project documentation for the construction of the building. It is a detached building in a slightly sloping terrain. The building has three floors and one underground floor. On the underground floor there are jointly-shared garages and technical background of the hotel. On the first floor there is a reception, a restaurant, a café and an open-air terrace. The second and the third floor is designed to accommodate guests in double rooms and suites. There is also a manager´s office and a conference room. The bearing construction consists of a ferroconcrete skeleton with a bricked outside envelope of aerated concrete blocks Ytong. The skeletal construction is built on a monolithic foundation footings. The building is covered in a flat single-coat roof which is partly designed as a vegetation roof. The facade of the building is glazed in the northern part of the 1st floor and some parts of the facade are coloured green, the others are of various colours. The building is insulated with a contact insulation system.
