Revitalisation of river

The aim of my project was revitalization of the selected section of the watercourse. The subject of revitalizing modifications is the reduction slope of the bottom, supplemented by a catchment grades and a boulder slip. Other modification is reducing the tendency of banks and new draft of accompanying vegetation.

Stabilization of bank of river

The aim of this work is to design stabilizing the banks of the watercourse Svratka in the cadastral Tišnov. The chosen site was divided into ten sections. Each segment was classified in terms of the status of riparian vegetation. Stabilizing elements are designed in three sections chosen location, where banks are most stressed. In other parts do not necessarily represent a significant stabilization measures. The result is a proposal biotechnical stabilization, completed the design of riparian vegetation.

Revitalization of River

The thesis deals with the issue of revitalization on the selected parts of the water course. Assessment of current condition and channel capacity and design of revitalization measures were made on a water course Veverka on the part of the river kilometer 0.650 - 1.000. This thesis first deals with the revitalization of historical aspect. When and why become to regulation of flows and what reasons leads to the effort to restore natural flows, the near-natural appearance. In the theoretical part is introduced an overview of revitalization measures with their brief description. The work includes the design of several revitalization measures: stabilization of slopes and bank scours fascine-gravel drum, wattle work and hand-placed rubble, removing dead wood, restoration of beaching and planting of vegetation accompaniment.

Revitalization of the selected section of the watercourse

This study solves revitalizing proposal of selected section of river Kuřimka in km 0,212 to 0,312 in the cadastral Kníničky. Work is focused on assessing the current state, capacity assessment and subsequent design of revitalization using extension space for sedimentation. Calculations of flow capacity were performed using HEC-RAS 5.0.0. The assessment was made based on my own errand, remeasurement and photographic documentation. The work also includes a proposal of riparian vegetation and drawings.

Regulation of the river

This bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of current state of selected part of the river and deal with regulativ of river. The work is conceived on four different levels.The first on eis describesing general characteristics of the selected selection. Second concern calculation of capacity and following river regulativ. Next part contains proposal of vegetation belt. The last part is about drawing of current state and also river regulativ features.

Revitalization of the selected section of river "Hartmanický potok"

Diploma thesis deal with revitalization Hartmanice river in district Svitavy. Section of interest is on 0,400 – 1,234 of river km. Part of this thesis is also rating current condition of stream and his vegetation accompaniment. Rating was made on base of reconnaissance terrain, my own measurement and photo documentation. In diploma thesis was design some revitalization steps: stabilization sink with wooden sills and stabilization slopes by using willow fences and similar precautions. There was designed total change of flow trend. Rating of current condition and condition of modified stream was made in software HEC-RAS.

Vyhodnocení revitalizačních opatření na vybraných úsecích toku Šatava

The presented bachelor's thesis summarizes three studies of revitalization precautions on the Šatava river and compares and evaluates the concept of precautions or specific suggestions for precautions in selected sub-sections in more detail. The thesis includes a literature search and an overview of the legislation, a detailed description of the area including the calculated basic characteristics of the Šatava basin, an evaluation of the current state of the area based on a field survey, an overview of the possibilities of financing revitalization from subsidies and the results of a questionnaire survey, the aim of which was to find out whether the municipalities from the selected section are informed about three studies, whether they agree with the presented precautions, or whether they have their own projects for the revitalization of the Šatava river.

Zpracování návrhu revitalizační studie pro malý vodní tok

This diploma thesis is focused on stream restoration. In the literature review is described why the need of this discipline arose, its evolution, objectives and effects. Then particular measures within restoration are characterized, also documents needed for the restoration project and possible sources of funding are described. The practical part of this thesis deals with the restoration design of a small watercourse - Měkynecký stream. First, information about the watershed of this stream are compiled. Local hydrological, climate, pedological, geological and geomorphological conditions are analyzed, as well as land use and the system of ecological stability. The soil erosion risk and the riparian vegetation are also assessed. Next, the watercourse is divided into homogeneous parts, which are described in detail. Then comes the design part of the thesis, which contains the restoration design itself. It includes the design of a new stream bed route and its cross sections, also the design of new pools and the riparian vegetation. A solution to the high rate of soil erosion is also comprised.

Concept of stream restoration in urban area

This diploma thesis presents a restoration study of a small watercourse in the urban area, specifically the section of Bouřlivec - a tributary of the Bílina River, crossing the municipality of the village Lahošť. The restoration study was carried out as a part of the contract research of the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague and Povodí Ohře, state enterprise. The final report of this research is part of the cited literature at the end of the qualification thesis. Among the main objectives of the study was the design of restoration concept that will primarily lead to: 1) improving the hydromorphological and ecological state of the stream, 2) increasing flood protection and 3) increasing recreational usability in close proximity to the watercourse. A total of 11 cross section profiles within a longitudinal profile with a length of approx. 454 m were geodetically measured using the total geodetic station. A modification of the new method of calculating the roughness of cross section profiles was proposed and for each profile the current and design maximum flow capacities were calculated. Posouzení stavu vegetačního doprovodu a návrh úprav na příkladu říčky Veverky

This research describes the state of the shore and accompanying vegetation in the concerned area. It assess the vital state of this vegetatition accompaniment and evaluates its functions. It focuses on the autochthonous vegetation, its effect on the assessed area from the potential bio-corridor formation point of view. For this purpose, the QBR river quality index, was used. It is a summarizing index of four areas where were used the positive and negative assessment corrections. For the assessment in the field, the locality of the river Veverka situated close to Brno city was chosen. This area of interest was divided into seven partial sections that were furhter assessed. Detailed knowledge of the area was used for the QBR evaluation method. From the accessible results, positive and negative values of the assessed area are evident. To eliminate the negative, the proposal for the vegetation accompaniment for specific areas is followed. Recommendation of appropriate autochthonous shore and accompanying vegetation. Utilization of the possibility of stabilizing effect of root systems in the shore zone.
