Changes in landscape in the catchment of water-supply reservoirs Švihov and Vír I

This thesis deals with the analysis of landscape changes using the index of change and the index of development in the catchments area of our two key water reservoirs Švihov and Vír I using CORINE Land Cover and LUCC Czechia data from the time of their building to the present, with a particular focus on the landscape changes in particular protection zones. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the reservoirs, the legislative background of water protection and the interaction between water reservoirs, landscape and people. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the concept of landscape and especially with the development of landscape and population in our country from the middle of the 19th century to the present. The importance of the two reservoirs is also described, including their physical-geographic characteristics and the history of the delineation of the protection zones in their catchment areas. In the practical part, the observed time horizons, the selected territorial units and their delimitation within the protection zones are specified in more detail. In the chapter of Results, the observed changes in landscape cover, land use and population are described, both for the entire catchment area and in more detail for the particular protection zones in all the periods studied. Demografický vývoj v Jihomoravském kraji v letech 2008-2017

The thesis value the demograpfic development in the South Moravian Region in 2008–2017. Demographic structures and events that are embedded in the context of regional development and possibly complemented by the devolpment character from the orcs of 1918 are desribed in the literature review. The aim of this work is to perform a demographic analysis of the South Moravian Region, which is important for the reasoning of future development and prediction of future needs for optimal development of the region. In particular, the growing trend of an aging population is alarming. This tendency should be ensured, for example, by building new homes for the elderly, which are not currently sufficient. Furthermore, it was found that the gross birth rate was decreasing, therefore certain pro-natality measures should be taken. For example, by increasing maternity or child allowance.

Overpopulatin - global demographic problem

This diploma thesis is focused on overpopulation problem, which is a very debatable term in this time. The thesis analyzes recent development in fertility, mortality and migration in each continent with aim to evaluate threats of the overpopulation. Although this term is more like global problem, the thesis aims to specify and identify continents, which might be truly affected by overpopulation. Part of the diploma thesis is focused on calculation of possible future development of population size based on mathematical models which are birth - immigration - death process and logistic (Verhulst) growth. The projections are established on UN data and their horizon is period 2095 - 2100.

The population of Vysočina region - the regional and geographical analysis

The purpose of my thesis was to elaborate the regional and geographical analysis of the population of Vysočina region. At the beginning of the thesis the long-term development of the population in the area of the Czech republic and Vysočina region nowadays is outlined. Then new trends in the development of the population in the period of transformation are characterized. In the following part the regional differences in the movement of the population of Vysočina region since 1991 are put down. The development of the natural movement of the population, numbers of abortions, marriages and divorces, migration, development and the overall movement of inhabitants are monitored. At the end the changes of selected structures of the population of Vysočina region between SLDB 1991 and 2001 are taken down. The biological structures (inhabitants according to sex and age), economic activities and chosen cultural signs (inhabitants in accordance with education, religion and nationality) are compared. The territory of the religion is judged as a whole with respect to the development of the whole republic, and then the particular districts and the districts of administrations of the municipality with extended competence are compared.
