Evolution of the Tatra Diesel Engines
Paulmichl, Roman ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the development of diesel engine TATRA from their inception to the present. It focuse on the construction of engines and construction of the disparity of their development. Gives an overview of their own construction of engines and their technical solutions. Compares the structural design of each engine in a chronological sequence of their formation and subsequent production. Informs on the composition and function of individual systems engines, changes in their composition and modernization. Provides examples of differences in the various engine components. Creating insight on the issue of engine construction as a whole and each of its systems and subsequent comparison of the impact of engines on the environment. Explains the basic concepts from the construction of diesel engines and their components. The theses target is to provide an overview of construction solutions of TATRA engines, depending on the time of their inception and requirements for diesel engines today.
Vliv konstrukčních změn sacího a výfukového traktu na výkonové a emisní parametry motoru
Šenkyřík, Michal
This thesis deals with the design changes of intake and exhaust systems of naturally aspirated combustion engine with the aim to improve its dynamic characteristics. An overview of intake and exhaust tract designs (together with their impact on the engine efficiency) is provided in the introductory part of the thesis. Based on this knowledge, modifications of the intake and exhaust systems of Ford Windsor V8 engine were proposed and installed in a vehicle. A series of dynamic and static tests on chassis dynamometer were carried out in order to measure the impact of the changes on the torque curve. The impacts of the changes are presented in detailed analysis of power and torque characteristics with respect to the engine speed. The results are discussed and the possible causes of observed phenomena are identified.

Hodnocení vlivu biopaliva na parametry vznětového motoru
Holý, Martin
The dissertation is dedicated to the utilization of alternative propellants in transport with concentration in biofuel. Firstly, the theoretical part is focused on the technical aspects of their utilization. In addition, fuel characteristics, conditions and options of their applications in diesel-powered vehicle engines are there characterized. The influence on production of exhaust emission is also mentioned and legislation is briefly summed up there. Secondly, the practical part contents the measurement of basic parameters to the classic-powered engine and the biofuel-powered engine in a tractor Zetor Forterra 9641. The whole measurement is carried out in vehicle laboratories in the Department of Technology and Automobile Transport of Mendel University in Brno. Moreover a detailed elaboration and the final evaluation of the measurement results are included in the second part of the dissertation.
