Rolling Analysis of Turbocharger Pin Roller

The subject of the diploma thesis is a description of movement of a roller which is a part of turbocharger. The diploma thesis is created in cooperation of the research department of Honeywell in Brno. The thesis consists of review concerning operating of turbochargers and possibilities of solving contact problems. Then static and dynamic conditions in contact are treated in the following part. Contact pressures are generated using numerical simulation in Ansys software. In the conclusion sizes and coefficients of friction which are recommended as the most suitable to achieve minimal wear of the components in contact.

There is also comparison between Multi body analysis and optical measurement test. In the beginning there is also dealing about turbochargers and ways of their regulation.
