Průběh kalamity a stav obnovy na revíru Polana, LS Jablunkov
Dyrčík, Vojtěch
This bachelor´s thesis deals with the calamity and subsequent restoration on the clearings of the district Polana LS Jablunkov, Lesy České republiky s.p. According to the forest management records, the course of the calamity and renewal in the years 2009–2020 was determined. The beginning of the calamity can be considered the year 2016, when the volume of harvested wood increased by twice the volume of the previous year and was still increasing. As the area of the clearings increased, the extent of renewal also increased. The most frequently used tree species for artificial regeneration was a beech (Fagus sylvatica L.). The beech was also the most widely used in natural rejuvenation. The state of natural regeneration was determined on three selected clearings. Selected clearings are located in the 4th, 5th and 6th forest vegetation stage. The following parameters were determined and evaluated on the network of inventory areas: height, type of plants, abundance and game nibble damage. The results show that the clearing in the 6th forest vegetation stage has a lower frequency of natural regeneration. The most represented tree species in natural regeneration was Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.).
Klady a zápory užití krytokořenného sadebního materiálu
Kohout, Karel
The aim of bachelor thesis was to find out the positives and negatives of the use of containerized planting stock on different sites. For this evaluation, operational plantings were estabilished, that were planted with containerized planting stock. On the same sites, planting with the bare-rooted planting stock were evaluated. The following woody species were compared: Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karsten), European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.), Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii (Mirb.) Franco), silver fir (Abies alba Mill.), Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.), and European larch (Larix decidua Mill.). Each pair of plantings (with containerized and bare-rooted plants) has the same age and i tis on the same set of forest types (1K, 3B, 3S, 4B, 4S, 5K, 6S, 7K and 7P). It is evident from the achieved results that in 75% of the achieved results was better containerized planting stock.
Odrůstání kultur a porostů založených prostokořenným a krytokořenným sadebním materiálem na území LS LČR Náměšť nad Oslavou
Hudzieczek, Jaroslav
The aim of the diploma thesis was to find out the state and the evaluation of the growth of cultures and stands based on plowed and cryopreserved seedlings on LS Náměšť nad Oslavou. The results show the current state of cultures and stands at selected habitats. The results should contribute to improving the quality and success of the artificial restoration of the forest. For the research and the final evaluation, research areas were selected, which in each pair had the same year of founding (differing by half a year of spring / autumn planting), were found on the same set of forest types. Comparison of research areas differed with the type of planting material used (cryopreserved, flattened). The research areas were on these forest types: 4S (5x), 4K (4x), 4O (2x), 3S (4x), 3H (2x), 3K (2x), 2K (1x). On each research area the parameters were measured on 60 specimens of the tree. The main measured parameters included above ground height, growth, root neck thickness, length and width of the assimilation apparatus, and other parameters needed to refine and to compare objectively. The measured values were evaluated using the statistical method and were compared for each variant of planting material and wood species. The results showed that there is a difference in the growth and development of the cultures and stands based on the cryopreserved and trimmed planting material, in favor of the cryopreservation planting material.
Silver fir growth depending on altitude and slope exposition in National park Krkonoše
Zapadlo, Jan ; Kupka, Ivo (advisor) ; Baláš, Martin (referee)
This Master thesis deals with a dynamic of planting development of silver fir (Abies Alba Mill.) depending on an altitude and exposure in the mountain conditions of the western part of the Krkonose (Giant Mountain) National Park. Further it examines the influence of a tree age, average temperature and precipitation amounts on such a development. Annual silver fir height increments have been compared on the four selected sites which differ from each other, in particular, by their altitude but other characteristics have been considered as well. Analyses proved that there were significant statistical differences between an average height increments on these sites. Through the methods of correlation and regression analyses impacts of other factors on the said differences along with the intensity of such impacts have been identified. In addition to the altitude a factor of an average temperature, precipitation amount during a given period and a tree age have been determined. Whilst examining the dependency of fir development using more factors simultaneously a linear regression model of dependency between the fir height increments and joint effects of the aforementioned factors has been created.
