Digitalization of ultra-light plane fuselage for production of accurate mould

This work describes digitalization and creation of ultralight aircraft 3D model in order to create accurate moulds for fuselage lamination. Right choice of technology is based on background research. Designed procedures are described in detail as well as used equipment, hardware and software. Objective of this project is application of available methods of digitalization to create 3D aircraft model and its usage for accurate mould design.

The design of the landing gear is based on the building regulation UL2 – Part I. The thesis includes a comparison of production options and design of selected chassis components.

Economic impacts of regulation in production and trade of ultralight aircraft in the EU and USA during years 2015-2013

The thesis deals with regulations affecting the industry of ultralight aircraft. Examined regulations are currently valid in the European Union and The United States of America. Legislation of both units is analyzed and then compared. New model of aircraft has to be certified. Certification itself creates barrier to market entry. Theoretical part describes economical theories of regulations, which justify the existence of regulations. In practical part legislations are analyzed. Cost estimations are made for comparison financial impacts of regulations in EU and USA. The analysis shows that united USA legislation causes lower costs and creates smaller barriers to market entry. On the other side, legislation valid in European Union is less effective.

The first part of this paper analyses basic principles of light aircraft industry and an export strategy of the company Aerospool with the aim to identify key aspects of this industry. The second part covers specifically the market of the USA. It contains competition analysis and PEST analysis which identifies key specifics of this market. SWOT analysis discover strengths and weaknesses of the company in the context of US market and threats and opportunities, which company can meet at this market. In the end there is a proposition of possible way of bigger penetration of the company Aerospool.
