Female characters in indigenist novels and their representation in contrast with male characters

The work focuses on the study of female characters of the indigenist Hispano-American novels. It concentrates on the way how women are depicted in these works of art, and at the same time, it compares them to male characters. It aims to answer the question, if it is possible to talk about a certain type of female characters, that is repeated in these literary works. Among other things, it also pursues the role played by female characters in the researched novels, studies what they represent and to which extent they influence the plot. .
