The influence of microstructure on the KV values of microalloyed steel 694F60
Abaidullin, Ilgiz ; Pacal, Bohumil (referee) ; Foret, Rudolf (advisor)
The subject of this master’s thesis was to find the causes of impact toughness scattering of forgings of the test disk with dimension range of 540 – 170 mm. The experimental samples were developed from steel A694 F60. To reach the main aim light microscopy, electron microscopy, EBSD technique, fractographic analysis and hardness measurement HV10 were utilized.
Application of plasma arc in technical practice
Zajíc, Jiří ; Mrňa, Libor (referee) ; Daněk, Ladislav (advisor)
ZAJÍC, Jiří: Application of plasma arc in technical practice The thesis is focused on the description of technologies using plasma, for its high temperatures, dynamic effects and ionization. The first part of the thesis is focused on the description of the process of ionization of gases and individual factors influencing the parameters of the resulting plasma arc. The following part is a description of the developed technologies that use gas ionization for their function, such as welding, cutting, thermal spraying and heat treatment. In a final phase of thesis is disposed practical experiment containing comparing welds made by plasma technology and welds made by TIG technology. These welds are compared in terms of hardness, heat input and the plasma welds in dilution of weld metal.
Fluoride conversion coatings on composite Mg/MgO materials
Peroutka, Jakub ; Buchtík, Martin (referee) ; Hasoňová, Michaela (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with preparation of composite materials based on Mg/MgO and their subsequent coating with fluoride conversion coating. Materials based on Mg/MgO were prepared by powder metallurgy. The theoretical part contains of basic magnesium information, advantages and disadvantages of Mg and brief Mg preparation. In the next part there are summarized basic principles, advantages and disadvantages in powder metallurgy. The second theoretical part deals with basic properties of MgO, literary research which deals with description of MgO on chemical structure of different varieties of Mg alloys or composition materials based on Mg/MgO. The last part of theoretical part describes conversion coatings, brief description of chemical reaction kinetics and diffusion of fluoride conversion coating. The experimental part deals with preparation of composite materials based on Mg/MgO by powder metallurgy. The main goal of experimental part was description of possible effect of MgO content on the formation of fluoride conversion coating.
Possibilities of regulation of stored heat - experimental verification
Mášová, Pavla ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Daněk, Ladislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis elaborated within the Manufacturing Technology Master´s study program considers various possibilities of welding which can regulate the amount of inputted heat into the welded joint. For experimental testing, material X2CrTi12 (ferritic stainless steel) was chosen, welded by means of methods suitable for the material. Welding methods included TIG, plasma, and laser. Further possibilities of heat input are suggested, such as pulse welding, Rapid, Fast Root, Surface Tension Transfer, Cold Metal Transfer, ColdArc, and Wise. The aim of the experiment is to compare the amount of heat input and its effect on particle growth and hardness.
