Social Work with Clients of Educational Care Center Who Ended Their Boarding Stay

The work deals with social work with clients of the educational care center, who ended their boarding stay there. It characterizes activities of the system of social and legal protection of children, the role, and the scope of work of the curator. It focuses on educational care center, describes forms of the care provided and procedure of ending stay at the educational care center. At the same time, it pays attention to the care of clients after the end of the boarding stay at the education care center in the competence of the system of social and legal protection of children and describes, how the system cooperates with accompanying organizations after the end of the client's boarding stay. Part of the bachelor thesis are case studies, which demonstrate possibilities of intervention of the system of social and legal protection of children for clients, who completed the stay at the educational care center and for who are additional support and help needed

It characterises representation globally and tries to digestedly make general scheme which is made on the basis of the legal regulations and second bibliography. On of the possible ways of the dividing is direct and indirect representation. Indirect representation could be defined as acting of the representant in his own name on behalf of the represented person. Direct representation is acting of the representant in the name of the reperesented person and on its behalf. The rights and the duties come up directly for the represented person. The representation in the civil material law is divided into the contracting representation and the legal representation. The legal representation originated directly in the law or on the basis of the decision of the state power body. The example of the representation which results from the law is the representation of the underages because they do not have full legal status. Termination of substitute family care before 18th year of child´s age

The objective of my work has been to monitor the opinions of social workers operating within the departments of social and legal protection of children at village municipalities with an extended scope of authority in the South Bohemian region as related to the problems of child care and education in substitute family care from the perspective of a social worker. The second objective has been to map the situation of children registered by the departments of social and legal protection of children of South Bohemia, the substitute family care of which was terminated before the 18th year of child´s age during the years 2003 {--} 2009. Due to significant reasons substitute family care, with the exception of adoption, can be terminated earlier. This presents a difficult situation both for the foster parents and for the foster children put into substitute family care. The results of my work have shown that most social workers do not lack the assistance of professional facilities that would support foster families in their regions. The most common reason for the termination of substitute family care before the 18th year of child´s age have been educational problems involving a whole range of issues. For most children, the termination of substitute family care resulted in institutional care {--} youth educational centers.
