Numerical Model of Water Flow in the Upper Reservoir Nové Mlýny
Winkler, Stanislav ; Zachoval, Zbyněk (referee) ; Marton, Daniel (advisor)
Diploma thesis is focused on understanding problematic of sedimentation in reservoirs with relation on flood episodes. For creating numerical model was necessary to ensure data about morphology of the river, granular composition of the riverbed and hydrology data. In thesis is written how were obtained these documentations, description of creating numerical model in program HEC – RAS 5.0.7. and results of done simulations of real flood episodes, which took place in years 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2013. Output is evaluation each flood episode, description of grain class curves and evaluation of yearly flow before change of riverbed due to transport of sediments and after change of morphology of riverbed.
Natural drop structure on Morávka river after 4 years functioning
Sedláček, Ondřej ; Veselý,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zachoval, Zbyněk (advisor)
The author of bachelor’s thesis deals construction local river widening. For a better understanding of the text he perform search retrieval basis of hydraulics and result research dealing with the local river widening. The next section he deals with facility to processing and evaluation data. In the practical part he describe nature drop structure on the Morávka river, where he compare original state with actual state after four years functioning and he recommend changes and repairs.
Identification of critical points and the evaluation of their contributing areas in the Čižina watershed.
Hanuliak, Radek ; Pavlík, František (referee) ; Dumbrovský, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to evaluate the critical profiles in the village of Lichnov near Bruntál. There was perfomed an identification of critical profiles, which are decisive for the flood threats of the built-up area. An analysis of the complex of physical-geographic factors influencing direct drain, soil loss and sediment transport was realised in collection areas. Evaluation was carried out using DMT, with the use of tools of ArcMap and DesQ.
Analysis of erosion and runoff conditions in the Rozdrojovický stream watershed
Hegenbart, Vlastimil ; Pavlík, František (referee) ; Dumbrovský, Miroslav (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the area with regard to erosion and runoff conditions and the transport of sediments into the Brno dam. The erosion calculation is carried out in two variants when the R-factor is changed. The USLE equations were used for the erosion calculation. The analytical work is carried out in ArcGIS software, where critical profiles with the corresponding collection areas were determined and then erosion and peak flows calculated on them and the erosion shear and basic characteristics of direct runoff were calculated. The DesQ-MaxQ program was used to calculate the flows in each catchment. The result of the work is an analysis of the area in terms of erosive shear to the Brno dam.
Evaluation of the river system of the Odlezelské (Mladotické) Lake basin as a potential source for sediment transport
Mužák, Petr ; Kliment, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Šobr, Miroslav (referee)
The status of the river network is essential to understanding the fluvial system of the basin. Erosion and accumulation activities of the river system led to changes in the river channel which caused the increased sediment transport and contributed to the silting of the Odlezelské (Mladotické) Lake. This study aimed to evaluate the status of the river system of the Odlezelské Lake basin and to identify and characterize its erosion and accumulation of landforms. The field survey of the Odlezelské Lake basin applied the hydro morphological characteristics monitoring (HEM) method extended by the record of erosion and accumulative landforms. The Mladotický stream recorded the highest representation and area concentration of erosion landforms. The Potvorovský stream showed the highest density of accumulation of landforms. Anthropogenic activity changed the mapped part of the lake basin in 47 percent of sections which exhibited a lower degree of erosion and accumulation of landforms. Beaver population activities also significantly influence the fluvial dynamics of the river system. Keywords: river channel, fluvial dynamics, sediment transport, Odlezelské (Mladotické) Lake
Stanovení ztráty půdy erozí a návrh protierozních opatření
Psotová, Petra
In this diploma thesis I dealt with the water erosion of soil in the area of Libotovský potok. The basin was divided into eight erosively enclosed units. I have counted the average long-term loss of land without anti-erosive measures and with anti-erosive measures as well as the transportation of floodplains for both of these situations. The aim of this work was to evaluate the severity of water erosion and to propose anti-erosion measures by using the universal equation (USLE) and modified equations (MUSLE). According to the results of the universal equation, it was clear that there was a very strong erosion in the river basin. The total loss of the land was 12 419.88 tones per year. Therefore, both organisational (leaving post-harvest remnants) and agro-technical measures (curb contouring) were proposed there in order to reduce the values of Factors C and P. After that, the reduction in the loss of the has ended up on 2 628.93 tones per year. The final value of transportation of the floodplains without erosion measures was 30 671,77 tones. After changing the sowing technologies and the change in the values for the factors C and P, it decreased to 5 203,32 tones. The results of the diploma thesis show that the water erosion of the soil is a large and frequent problem of many agricultural lands, especially those where soil is left without any protective effect of vegetation and also where the broad-leaved crops are grown. An important factor that can significantly help to reduce erosion is also the right way of the soil cultivation.
