Rail transport in the United States
Bódi, Andrej ; Zelený, Lubomír (advisor) ; Brozman, Dušan (referee)
This Master Thesis focuses on the American railroads as a whole. It describes the evolution of the railroads and the on-going transformation of its importance in comparison with other means of transport. Further, there are described 5 major railway companies and the state owned company Amtrak, which focuses on passenger transport. The analysis elaborates on the topic of competitivness of Amtrak in various corridors. The author is seeking the answer to the question: Is there a possible gap in the passenger transport market that Amtrak can fill?
Geographical aspects of the development of the airport Plana Ceske Budejovice
NEJEDLÁ, Eva
Originally military, today a civil Airport Ceske Budejovice has an intention to become an international regional airport. The focus of this paper is the evaluation of time accessibility of the airport based on three distinct levels. International and regional levels are concerned with time accessibility of the airport in the framework of road network and its comparison with the accessibility of five chosen European international airports. Local level then evaluates the accessibility of important points in Ceske Budejovice from the initial location - the airport. The results of the analysis should thus help to define the available area which the airport is able to serve on the basis of time accessibility, and from a geographical point of view, they should also evaluate the meaningfulness of the construction of an international airport in South Bohemia.
Assessment of small mechanization for transport and manipulation of material according to chosen exploitative indicators.
TOLKNER, Martin
This work deals with dividing of small mechanization for transport and material handling. The first part concerns with an area of utilization, transport and manipulation of the small mechanization. The second part is dedicated to analysis of exploitative, economical and environmental indicators. An experimental time measuring of individual working cycles of two universal skid front-end loaders UNC 060 and Locust 750 is affiliated. In the closing part of this work the measured times, weights and the loaders´ calculated outputs are being compared.
Perform analysis of the technological services in medium-sized enterprises of agricultural primary production and its design optimization.
BRYCH, Jiří
Abstrakt This paper solves the analysis of the technological transportation in a medium-sized enterprise, with its subsequent design optimization. The aim is to analyze existing traffic and then propose appropriate measures to streamline the labor-saving technological services in the selected primary agricultural enterprise with selected comparative parameters. This paper will attempt to answer questions. How to reduce transport costs in agriculture? What and how to properly transport the material in agriculture? The theoretical part contains the characteristics of transportation technology on the farm, focusing on the removal forage. Describes suitable transport means for removing material from the harvester and the chosen parameters for the comparative analysis of the technological transportation. The basis for the practical part of the surveillance and measurement of traffic operations on the farm and ZEMPO-VOS Strunkovice nad Blanicí. And based on selected indicators were calculated values, which were compared with the technical and technological norms for agricultural production of the Czech Republic. The last part of the thesis deals with the optimization of the removal of maize silage for cattle forage harvesters from the silage trough. Are described herein suitable means of transport options within the company, including calculations and comparison of selected indicators of the actual removal of silage maize . The conclusion of this study imply the need to increase the removal of corn silage size transport´s resources, compared to current technology.
EXTENSION OF PRZEWALSKI HORSES IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
KARDOVÁ, Lenka
The thesis summarises breeding of Przewalski´s Horse (Equus przewalskii) in the Czech Republic and worldwide. Its aim is to characterise fundamental evolutionary phases, to work out the causes of their extinction in the country side and to follow their rescue in zoological gardens across the world. It describes transportations of Przewalski´s Horse back to country side into their original environment. Furthermore it also summarises the number of transportations and it analyzes the causes of reintroduction failures.
Analysis of options to mitigate the negative impacts of road transport in favor of environmental protection.
PRŮŠA, Radek
This paper analyzes the negative impact of transport on the environment and possibilities of their elimination or reduction.
Czech Electronic Toll System
Beneš, Vojtěch ; Zelený, Lubomír (advisor) ; Černohorský, Jan (referee)
The goal of the thesis is to give reader a detailed description of the Czech electronic toll system with emphasis to the potential future system development and infrastructure toll extension. The National Transportation Policy, legislative framework concerning the infrastructure tolling, and particular European toll systems are described in the first part of the thesis. Within the other part of the thesis, the reader is given a simplified cost-profit model of future toll extension efficiency to evaluate the optimal outcome of the toll extension.
Pattern Formation and Chaotic Dynamics in a Cross-Flow Catalytic Converter with Kinetics of Detoxification of Exhaust Gases
Kohout, M. ; Hadač, O. ; Havlica, Jaromír ; Schreiber, I.
In this contribution, the range of patterns occurring due to interaction of transport and reactions characteristic of the three-way catalytic converter (TWC) have been explored. We examined whether and how spatiotemporal structures such as spatially nonhomogeneous steady states and travelling waves are produced. Furthermore we found that the system displays a wide variety of chaotic spatiotemporal patterns, which were examined in detail.

Analysis of the distribution logistics of selected food products
KOVÁŘÍKOVÁ, Markéta
The main aim of the thesis is analysis of the logistic system of the company dealing with distribution of meat and dairy products, from the viewpoint of material and information flow from the point of purchase to the supply to the clients and to try to suggest possibilities of optimalization in order to improve logistic procedures. On the basis of performed analysis is suggested possible change towards the optimalizacion of distribution, which lies in a new way of direction internal sources of the enterprise.
