Education and training for imployment of people with mental disabilities in region Teplice

PEDAGOGICKÁ FAKULTA UNIVERZITY KARLOVY Abstract Education and preparation for the profession of people with mental disabilities in Teplice region 21.4.2011 Zdeněk Herman Abstrakt Despite all the problems in the Ranks of the cultural environment and the composition of the people after the unemployment I was led to believe it is not always the main factor in recruitment. Or maybe education is not the main determinant, though primarily affiliated, but the nature of personality, diligence and hard work are determinants, which are the quintessence of the employer's requirements. Sometimes such values in the family of people with mental disabilities are more problematic to implement, then the values would lead the school. The success of the equipment of the positive values depends on the quality of the school and its leadership. I knew that in Teplice there are that at least two schools are for high quality and fully prepare people with mental disabilities in practical life. However several shortcomings need to be improved. the largest work can be motivation of pupils with mental disabilities to individual decision-making, working and not being comfortable, aware of the need to work and not wanting to stay at home when they have rent. Motivation is the key factor for improving the quality of life of people.
Transit programs implemented within a two-year practical school study

In my thesis I focused on the transition from school to work in people with mental disabilities. I describe the basic terminological definition of mental disability. Furthermore, the thesis describes the division and characteristics of individual levels of mental disability. This is followed by a description of the period of adolescence, which is closely related to this important shift in life, the vocational training of young people with mental disabilities, the transition from school to work itself and an important description of the transit program. The aim of the thesis is to focus on the course of work integration of people with mental disabilities. The target group therefore consists of those clients who are visiting the program now. The practical part of the thesis starts with stating the goals. In the following subchapters, the methodology chosen follows. According to an interview with employees and clients, I wrote the course of the transit program and focused on their benefit. I see the transit program as a specific program that has a valid place in open civil society.

The target group therefore consists of those clients who are visiting the program now, but also the clients who have already gone through the program and are now employed. The practical part of the thesis starts with stating the goals. In the following subchapters, the methodology chosen follows. According to interviews with employees, I have written a transit program. I made a personal history from interviews with active clients, found out what jobs they were working on, and interviewed former clients to find out where they were employed. I see the transit program as a specific program that has a valid place in open civil society.

Employing Mentally Handicapped People at the Sheltered Workshop of Rolnička

This paper deals with the topic of employing mentally handicapped people. The theoretical part presents the notion of mental retardation, as well as the preparation of people for employment, an inherent part of which is education of such mentally handicapped people. The main focus is on employing mentally handicapped people, then on the legislative framework, and also on some auxiliary mechanics which help mentally handicapped people get employment. The practical part presents the Rolnička´s secure workshop and its latest project ? Integration into Labor Market of the Tábor Region, which is currently under way. One of the elements of this project is the Transit Program, the aim of which is to help the employees of Rolnička´s secure workshop with the transition to the free labor market. That is why I devoted the practical part of this paper to interviewing individual employees of the said workshop in order to investigate their interest in transition to labor market.
