At the same time it contains a theoretical processing of the diagnosis, that means gonarthrosis and the total knee replacement. Methods: All of the methods used in the special part of the thesis are based on the bachleor degree program of FTVS. Spa therapy after total hip arthroplasty. Procedures, results.
ŠTIFTER, Šimon
Presented bachelor thesis is focused on the effect of spa treatment after total hip arthroplasty. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis contains the anatomy and kinesiology of the hip joint, including muscles description and functions, which are involved in the movement of this joint. Subsequently, there is information about total hip arthroplasty, including the types of endoprostheses, used materials, or indications and contraindications to this operation. Next, surgical approaches and possible complications that may occur in relation with implantation are described. A significant part of the theoretical part is devoted to the structure of posthospital treatment, namely spa treatment, which describes the individual procedures that can be used with this diagnosis in the spa environment. The objective of the work was to find out how spa treatment affects convalescence and for this reason, in the practical part, the method of qualitative research was used, in which the research group consisted of six probands aged from 61 to 74 years who underwent total hip arthroplasty. For objectivity of the research, the criterion was determined that all subjects were approximately two months after the operation. Probands were divided into two groups of three, one group of those who had undergone spa treatment and, for comparison, the second group of those who had not yet. All probands underwent eight therapies with the same exercise unit. The obtained data were then processed in the form of case reports, including input and output kinesiological analysis and the course of individual therapies. The results show that there was a positive effect on all probands, but the improvement was more noticeable in people who completed a spa stay. The bachelor's thesis can be used as a source of information either for students or the professional public, but also for patients who are currently waiting for an implantation or spa stay.
Changes in working abilities in a patient of productive age after total arthroplasty of weight-bearing supporting joint of the lower limb
ŠIMKOVÁ, Jana
Total lower limb endoprosthesis was originally indicated in elderly patients, as the fear of wear and tear was ingrained in younger, more active patients. Nowadays, with advances in implant design and surgical technology, it has become a viable option for patients of productive age who are reducing pain in all aspects of life. The aim of this work is to evaluate the changes in working abilities in patients of productive age after total endoprosthesis of the lower limb, and to map the possibilities of physiotherapy that will be beneficial for returning to working life. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the anatomy of the hip and knee joint with their interconnection, types of total hip arthroplasty, its indications and contraindications. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with the division of rehabilitation before and after implantation of a total endoprosthesis and other physiotherapeutic procedures. The term "work skills" and their changes are defined. The practical part is based on case reports of patients who are in different time horizons from TEP of the hip joint. A detailed initial kinesiological analysis was created with three probands together with therapy, short-term and long-term physiotherapy plan, final kinesiological analysis. A kinesiological analysis is created retrospectively with three other probands. The case studies are supplemented by a questionnaire. The results reflect the positive effect of physiotherapy on health status and changes in working abilities after total hip arthroplasty.
Physiotherapy in patients before intended hip joint replacement within the concept of prehabilitation
OLAHOVÁ, Marie
This bachelor thesis deals with the possibility of physiotherapy before the planned hip joint surgery within the concept of prehabilitation. In this thesis I deal with the possibility of preparing patients for this extensive operation. In the theoretical part, I process the knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology of the hip joint, then I outline the issue of the concept of prehabilitation, which is becoming an increasingly discussed topic abroad. In the next part, I provide information related to the total hip arthroplasty and complications during this procedure. Then the possibilities of preoperative physiotherapy are described in the thesis. The aim of this thesis was to record the preparation and describe the physiotherapeutic intervention in a group of patients before the planned hip replacement, for which I used qualitative research methods. The research unit consisted of one man and two women, therapy was usually performed 1-2 times a week for 60-75 minutes, for approximately two months. The data were collected by using an initial and final kinesiological analysis, an interview and an observation. According to that, a rehabilitation plan based on kinesiological and physiotherapeutic procedures and individually tailored to patients was developed. All probands received an exercise unit, which they practiced at home. All patients improved and two of the three patients underwent surgery without complications and the recovery progressed without problems. A third patient did not undergo surgery for epidemiological reasons. The work can inform the professional public, physiotherapists or students of physiotherapy about the possibilities of preoperative rehabilitation.

Author: Eva Schwarzová Title: A Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient After Total Knee Replacement Goals: The aim of the theoretical part is to look into the issue of arthrosis of the knee joint based on scientific literature. The practical part presents a case study of a physiotherapy treatment after a total knee replacement. Method: This thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part describes the scientific findings on the subject of the knee joint from an anatomical and kinesiological perspective. Furthermore, this part deals with the gonarthrosis, the total knee replacement, and the physiotherapy treatment. The practical part shows the physiotherapy treatment of a female patient after a total knee replacement. The case study took place during an internship at the Military University Hospital (ÚVN). It contains a kinesiological analysis, a short - and a long-term physiotherapy schedule, a description of the therapy sessions as well as a final evaluation of the effects of the therapy. Results: During the hospitalization, patient underwent eight therapy sessions which led to an increased mobility of the left knee joint, a reduction of the pain as well as a decreasing of the swelling. Furthermore, due to the therapy the strength of certain muscles was...

Ptáčková, Veronika ; Opatrná Novotná, Irena (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Title: A case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with total endoprosthesis of the left knee joint. Aims: The aim of the thesis is to develop a case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with endoprosthesis of the left knee joint. Methods: The case study, a special part of the thesis, was developed in the context of a continuous professional practice in the Rehabilitation Clinic of Malvazinky, which took place during January and February 2022. Initially, a medical history was taken and an initial kinesiological examination was performed, based on which short-term and long-term goals of therapy were established. Subsequently, 10 therapeutic units were performed following the set goals. The whole therapy was concluded with a final kinesiological examination and evaluation of the effect of the therapy. Results: From the evaluation of the effect of the therapy, it was found that most of the key values were improved during the therapy sessions. Keywords: total knee replacement, knee joint, gonarthrosis, case study, physiotherapy

The theoretical one provides some basic information about the anatomy and kinesiology of the knee joint. The chapter called Gonarthrosis discusses the condition in detail, as patients with gonarthrosis are the most common candidates for total knee replacement. The chapter also explains pathomechanics, symptoms, occurrence rate and treatment options. Other chapters give an overview of efficient methods and techniques that physiotherapy can offer, following total knee replacement. The special part focuses on the details of physical therapy of the patient after the above-mentioned surgery and assessment of its effectiveness. It is based on...
