On the cutting performance analysis of milling tools for a selected application.
Němeček, Lukáš ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis is devided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with types of milling, the choice of the cutters, choice of material of exchangeable cutting plates and also with types of wear and their classification. The second part of the thesis deals with experiments where the power load of the tool was measured. The observed data were processed and graphs of power load were created by software. Conclusions are based on these graphs.
On the optimization of machining process of the rotary part
Benda, Martin ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with analysing component manufacture of valve lines. Firstly evaluating current condition of production including determinated manufacture times and costs. Secondly carrying out inmprovement proposals for manufacture and optimalisation of cutting conditions while considering the minimal costs given for operation sections. The final provision summarizes results which were achieved and overall benefits of the thesis.
Efficiency Improvement Proposal of Production of Engineering Component
Cvrkal, Richard ; Kubů, Marek (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The thesis is dealing with drilling deep holes. Theoretical part of thesis is focused on base knowledge of deep drilling. Experimental part deals with testing two different borers, with different cutting conditions and different purchase prize. Drilling was made into 1.2343 ESU material. Conclusion of this work is concept of purchase machinery for deep drilling.
Tool wear testing method of cutting tools with cermet cutting edges in turning
Koppová, Aneta ; Kouřil, Karel (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the wear of tools fitted with cermet cutting edge. The first part is focused on the theoretical aspects of the problem, which are applied in the practical part. The aim was to perform cutting tests in which carbon steel was turned under selected cutting conditions. Tool wear during turning and the quality of the machined surface were monitored. Machining continued until the selected wear criterion reached the limit value. Two different cermets were tested and the measured data were the basis for the analysis of the wear of the tool edges and the determination of the tool life.
Testing of cutting performance of new PVD coatings for milling.
Skrbek, Jan ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This work is focused to the cutting tests. There is a description of cutting test designed for PVD coated cemented carbide end mills. Cutting conditions are chosen according to orders, other subjects of choice are cutting tool geometry and workpiece material.
Cutting tool preparation before coating
Musil, Michal ; Novák, Zdeněk (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
This bachelor thesis summarizes importance and advantages of surface preparation before coating process. Next part of this work analyzes an influ-ence of surface preparation before coating process on tool geometry, tool life and cutting performance. Experimental part brings a comparison between mi-cro-finishing by mix of SiC particles and walnut shells and ion cleaning tech-nology that by the help of Ti or Ar ionts. The 6 mm twist drill made from high speed steel has been chosen as the sample for experimental works. There are describe the advantages of preparation of tool cutting edges before coating, especially the micro-finishing and ion cleaning, and their positive effects on geometry and performance of tool at the end of the work.
Solution wear of tool with inserts in condition technology of turning.
Kružík, Petr ; Humár, Anton (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis analyzes wear occurrence at chosen tool inserts in the process of turning of a heat treated cylindrical workpiece. Inserts for turning have been chosen from the area of coated and non-coated cemented carbides and cermets with respect to the used type of workpiece material. The work further deals with the possibility of their use under cutting conditions that are set to the upper cutting limits from the recommended range, especially without cooling. To obtain detailed information, the conditions of the test are further modified. Then, the results are also evaluated from the point of view of costs, i.e. market prices of inserts for possible application in the manufacturing process.
On The Influence of Cutting Edge Length on Tool Life of Indexable Inserts
Tomis, Jan ; Kouřil, Karel (referee) ; Binder, Martin (advisor)
Analysis of tool life tests of indexable insert APKX1505PDER-M by company Pramet Tools Ltd., focused to examination of the influence of Cutting Edge Radius on Tool life. Determination the best size of Honing Cutting Edge for maximum Tool life.
Analysis of cutting insert performance when machining of a titanium alloy
Fasora, Jan ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with machinability of titanium alloys, cutting performance and wear of indexable cutting inserts (ICO) when turning. The experimental and very basic part of the work is presented with experiments in several series, where the cutting ability and wear of the selected inserts are assessed. Apart of some other measurements the results are justified with 3D measuring device and a scanning electron microscope analyses.
Machining processes in furniture industry
Černý, Marek ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Chladil, Josef (advisor)
This master thesis deals with machining processes in the furniture industry. Various group of materials, which are used in furniture industry are described there. Then there are described assembly and machining processes, such as manual and machine. In practical part, the production process for the selected sample product was proposed. The production was performed in a specific company, which has suitable machinery and tools. Sample product was made from double-sided laminated medium density fibreboard, which belongs to the group of wood-based materials. As a part of the debugging produciton process, the dependence tool life at cutting speed was experimentaly found. The experiment was performed on CNC milling machine with cutting speeds in the range 453 to 905 m.min-1, width draft of cutting edge 9,5 mm and feed per tooth 0,05 mm. Analog passametr Somet with an accuracy 0,001 mm was used to measure tool wear. The measured data were recorded and evaluated in program Excel. The resulting dependency tool life at cutting speed can be used in other machining operations. After performing the experiment, each parts of the product were produced and mountig was performed. The conclusion of the thesis contains an evaluation of the proposed production process.
