Simultaneous Interpreting preparation strategies to/from sign language

This bachelor's thesis focuses on strategies of professional preparation for simultaneous interpreting into/from Czech Sign Language. The first section describes theoretical knowledge related to preparation for simultaneous interpreting. It focuses on mapping the strategies and approaches of short-term preparation for simultaneous interpretation. The research section aims to map real practices in the preparation for simultaneous interpreting by Czech Sign Language interpreters while relating these practices back to the theoretical knowledge of preparation in the academic literature. The findings of this work can be important in the area of professional preparation of Czech Sign Language interpreters. Additionally, they can serve for the development and improvement of the education of Czech Sign Language interpreters. Key words simultaneous interpreting, Czech Sign Language, preparation, strategy
