Main aim of my diploma thesis is to define which factors were influencing process of newspaper production during the period after Second World War and first years of communist regime in Czechoslovak republic. For period between years 1945 and 1960 were specific demographic, socio-economic ad legislative changes. Because of existence of wide range of these factors I decided to demonstrate the impact of factors on the process on one determined journal - Vesnické noviny Poděbradska. These newspapers should help to regime to fulfilled one of mayor tasks - establishment of functional concept of collective farming. Editor in chief responsible for Vesnické noviny had to cooperate with various institutions. Okresní národní výbor was composed of 24 members, that had executive power over the in their hands. Second one was Jednotný svaz českých zemědělců - institution collecting peasants of Czechoslovakia which was subordinate to ministry of agriculture. Very important part of newspaper production was participation of local correspondents. My diploma thesis proves that incapability of institutions and editor in chief to work together had serious consequences for quality of newspapers. This document also includes information about media laws valid during post-war period.
