Stress - strain analysis of inferios limb with fixator type Orthofix
Mrázek, Michal ; Fuis, Vladimír (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis aims to create a stress strain analysis of Orthofix external fixator applied to lower limb. The introduction summarizes the background research in available scientific publications, targetting the alternatives of treatment, namely application and fixation solutions of long bones. Furthermore parametric models of the fixator and tibia are created in CAD system CATIA. The fixator model enables to create different geometric variations simulating possible fixator settings and moment load in the range of 1-10 Nm. These geometric and loading states of fixator are solved via FEM in ANSYS. Single versions of the states of Orthofix fixator are then subjected to the stress strain analysis.
Case Report of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient Diagnosed with the Fracture of the Distal Tibia.
Hlaváčová, Tereza ; Neuwirthová, Svatava (advisor) ; Hoskovec, Jakub (referee)
Title: Case Report of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient Diagnosed with the Fracture of the Distal Tibia. Objectives: The aim of my bachelor thesis was to study and summarize the knowledge about the fracture of the distal tibia and subsequent state after osteosynthesis. Then to apply this knowledge in practice when working with the patients with this diagnosis. Finally, the aim was to work out the case report of the particular patient. Methods: The general part of the bachelor thesis is focused on the general anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics and traumatology. Further, there is also mentioned the knowledge about the examination by a physiotherapist, the treatment of this diagnosis and possible subsequent post-operative care. The thesis also summarizes the complications that can occur during or after the treatment. The special part of the bachelor thesis is focused on the case report of the patient after the fracture of the distal tibia which was treated by osteosynthesis. I worked with the patient during my practical training in the Locomotor System Treatment Centre in Prague Vyso any, in the period from 22 January, 2016 till 12 February, 2016. The thesis includes the case history, initial and final kinesiology analysis. Furthermore the individual therapeutic treatments in particular days are...
Case report of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with diagnosis status after intra-articular fracture of the proximal tibia
Vodičková, Kamila ; Michalec, Radim (advisor) ; Jiráň, Jan (referee)
Title: Case report of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with diagnosis status after intra- articular fracture of the proximal tibia Aim: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is processing of the case study of a patient with diagnosis condition after intra-articular fracture of the proximal tibia, a summary of theoretical knowledge, designing therapy and monitoring its progress. Method: This thesis was created as a research with case study during continuous professional practice held from 7.1.2013 to 1.2.2013 at Rehabilitation clinic Malvazinky in Prague. The thesis is divided into two parts - general and special. The first (general) part deals with the theoretical knowledge of kinesiology of the knee joint, includes information on fractures (their classification, possible solutions, healing and complications) and the possibilities of physiotherapy procedures in the postoperative period. The second (special) part describes case study of a patient after intra-articular fracture of the proximal tibia, the process of suggested therapy and evaluation of its effect. Keywords: knee joint, tibia, osteosynthesis, physiotherapy, traumatology, rehabilitation
BIOMECHANICAL STUDY OF EXTERNAL FIXATORS APPLIED TO TIBIA
Mrázek, Michal ; Horyl, Petr (referee) ; Janíček, Přemysl (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
External fixators are used in a treatment of complicated fractures and their properties have a crucial impact on treatment quality. Therefore, this thesis is concerned with a biomechanical study of a bone (tibia) with applied external fixators via strain-stress analysis and their comparison with a state of tibia without applied fixator (physiological state). After creating the volume models of geometry of tibia and seven variants of external axial fixators, the corresponding finite element method (FEM) models are created. The analysis of tibia without applied fixator and tibia with all studied fixators is made for three states of load which correspond to characteristic load states during the first stage of treatment. The strain-stress analysis is made using finite element method. Furthermore, the methods of displacement and rotation evaluation during loading are proposed. One can conclude from the results of the strain-stress analysis how the different variants of fixators prevent the displacement and rotation of the bone during the different load states and the comparisons with the physiological state of bone are made. Bone tissue loading is determined from the distribution and the values of the first and the third principal stresses. Finally, comparing the results of all variants the influence of the fixator length, the gap between the fixation elements near the fracture, the number and the setting of the fixation elements on the fixation properties is analysed.
A Proposal for a Methodology of a Knee Joint Replacement Tibial Plate 3D Model Creation
Kutálek, Lukáš ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Madaj, Martin (advisor)
This thesis describes the design methodology of the 3D model of the tibial plate. The paper briefly describes the anatomy of a knee joint, the current surgery operation process current tibial components and modeling procedure of the tibial plate for a specific pacient. A physical model was made by means of Rapid Prototyping.
