Wenceslas II. in classical literature

The subject of this thesis is depiction of Wenceslas II. in historical romances. The main emphasis is on historical point. The theoretical part is focused on general characteristics of reing of Václav the second and his life. In this part there are marked important moments in monarch's life, which occur also in romances. Practical part is dealing with analysis of four historical romances - by Oldřich Daněk, Jiří Hanibal, Jan Lipšanský and Ludmila Vaňková. Analyse is focused mainly on historical inaccuracies and characteristics of main historical personalities. Concluding part contains comparison of all four romances. The aim of this thesis is to show different views of writers to important historical personality, who played considerable role in czech history.
