Thermophotovoltaic generation of electricity

This thesis is focused on thermophotovoltaic energy conversion and main principles of the conversion process. It describes fundamental generator parts and properties of suitable source materials. The thesis further specifies a classification of thermophotovoltaic genera-tors by the type of used materials and presents examples of their application. The conclusion contains a comparison of selected devices reaching efficiency up to 20 % and output 15 kW/m2.
